Ascents in Mt Cooroora as Tick

Only did the 1st pitch which is a grade 14 and did this on top rope clean

This time I top roped it. I'm really impressed my first attempt on this was a lead. Even my mate was impressed I peak this when previously here

Top roped. Nice challenge. 2nded.

The start was hard this was the only point I had a fall, but once I got it I climbed the rest with a few pauses for rests on top rope. Will like to master this climb. 0retty sure I 2nded this one too.

Maybe just not my style of climbing... but this was a garbage day. 1st pitch was a super mossy slippery slab to start, and I just could not get myself in the chimney. There is a rail to help pull up & squeeze in, but my short arms couldn't reach it so I kept slipping down into the wet crack and getting stuck. Got continuously swooped by a falcon on the 2nd pitch and broke 4 foot holds (one just... turned to powder?). Not confidence inspiring. Belayed hiding behind a tree to avoid falcon attacks and it sprinkled throughout the day as well. Sorry Cooroora... maybe I'll give it another go on a sunny day.

Crux pitch was nice and sustained, didn't really get a rest until right up the top. Unfortunately the day was tainted when we were abseiling down the second rap and a big chunk of rock got dislodged by the rope 10-15m above, hitting my climbing partner on the foot. Went into rescue mode and got out fine as luckily it turned out not to be broken, just severely bruised, but still something to be very careful of on this one. The spot where you are rapping here is not where you climb up, so the rock is a little looser.
