Ascents in Caves Area as various tick types by Matt Schimke

Had a decent onsight attempt but missed a crucial finger slot out left which pumped me out. Second go it went smoothly, nothing to hard just continuous technical moves. Very nice route (2).

Accessed this by climbing TT, rope runs way nicer! Man, this is a tough one to figure out on the onsight! I wasn't even close to pulling the right sequence. Burly undercling crux. (2)

Cool and sustained climbing! Probably as hard as Absinthe, but maybe not as technical? I think this is the pick of the lines in the choss cave. (2).

Woohoo! Hardest route outside of Coolum. I got some beta to try different kneepads, so did just that and it made all the difference for that shitty knee scum at the crux. Climbed the route direct as Lee did, and glad I did. Just like a lot of the harder routes at Ninderry, they can be a bit contrived so no classic from me. Probably low end 29, but how would I know considering its my first 29 face climb? (9)

Woohoo! Finally! First started trying this in 2012 and have been falling off the last move multiple times every year since! Been doing a bit of training lately, which helped me get this pretty easily today. Super tired and feeling crappy but still managed to do it fairly in control and got to the anchor feeling surprising OK! No classic from me, as it is contrived, but the rock quality and moves make up for that. Onto Semtex! (20).

Warm up. Finally some nice weather!! This climb feels a grade easier with good conditions.

Couldn't commit to clipping last bolt. Fun climbing, on rock that is more solid than it first seems. Anchor is way out mleft in shit spot (shared with QR). (2)

Its okay. Don't fall clipping third.

Pretty adventurous. That block before the roof is so dodgy!! I swore it moved a little when I sat on it. A few fun pulls through the roof and its over.

Maybe 25? But the difficultuie could be due to the lack of traffic, which made the route reading hard! This is a great route, and the rock is decent! (2)

Wicked! Second day climbing since returning from Europe. Second shot today with Mr Foster. Climbed well and had a battle at the top, but finished victorious. Maybe at the low end of the grade. (4).

Did this when I did the first ascent of tick typhus. Nice little warm up.

I feel strange giving this a classic, as it scared the shit out of me. Super 3D climbing, with nothing too hard. Almost pumped off the top.

Great to climb this in the new altered state. Managed to tick it second shot today, after not trying the route for 2 years. The crux requires a couple of hard pulls, but the pump factor just before the anchor was what almost had me flying. (6).

Really cool route. Easier, juggy way of doing crux is no longer existent, so this route is now 25 with Ross's blessing.. Two and a half shots to tick this one (half shot being the first half is shared with SR). Second ascent.

Climbs far better then it looks. Really cool moves through roof and bulges, to a funky throw out left to the finishing jug. Might be soft? (2).

First half is boring, but second is fun and exciting! Would be a really hard onsight, as the route is not obvious. Maybe second ascent? (2).

First shot after 2 years, when I freaked out on every bolt and took plenty of falls. Alzheimer onsight today, as I forgot everything! Cut loose on the crux which wasn't ideal, and added to the exposure. (2)

This has grown on me everytime I have climbed it. Pick the good quality holds, and pray they hold while you clip the bolts, making your way to better rock in the last quarter. Pretty easily first shot today. (3)

Climbed it to patch old aid bolts. A stiff warm up!

Super nice. Bolts are all close together, so not quite as commiting as TKM, but just as fun! 22 for me.

Nice route. A bit of everything on it, no specific style. Nice safe falls from the crux.

Really nice crimping, I prefer this too the original Nitro. This flows a hell of a lot nicer and the link section feels really nice. This route is 26 for me, my crimping has really improved lately. (2).

Shit scary in parts, sitting on big blocks and stuff. Hang on and did not break anything off with my hands (only my feet). Get on this, but bring a long sling for the third bolt (60cm).

Actually heaps of fun and well bolted.

Straight up, felt easy at the end of the day.

Also very good, a little soft for 23.

Found this pretty hard. The climbing feels a little forced at the top when it moves left, I felt like the natural line lead out right.

Crux was wet, but managed it second shot. Cool route, nice deadpoint at the crux. (2).

Super nice headwall.

Pretty fun, terry did a nice onsight. Bit of loose rock on the topout, wear a helmet.

In a weird way this is one of the most exciting 15's you will ever get on, and I had a ball.

Great route, did a stupid mistake first shot and came off. Climbs very well, nice crimp ladder. (2).
