Ascents in New South Wales and ACT as various tick types by Mitch Scanlan-Bloor

Liam linked P1 and P2 and I led P3 traversing in from start of Slow Twitch Extension. Tricky moves entering the slab pitch and 80km/h winds made for an intense finish over the lip. Growing up in Bowral I've looked up at this cliff my whole life so it was an amazing experience to get up it finally. Gets me psyched to try the other lines on the next visit home.

Brilliant big moves and knee bar to keep the pump at bay.

The undercling is a lie.

Stellar thin climbing. Just don't pause to ponder how thin some of those holds are.

Nowra season day 1 yeaaaaooowwww! Finally got this dog off the list. Stellar pumper but some dicky clips. Nice to have some dry holds at The Hood for once.

Many a season in the making! Had multiple goes on this beauty in days gone by but it went down just fine today.

Onsight of pitches 2, 4, and 5, then seconded the rest. Mix bag of routes, but overall stellar climbing. The choss on pitch 4 was a total horror show! Pitch 2 requires some serious cranking, so bring your biceps. Pitch 5 will be forever known to me as 80kg of chicken wings... Trailing two 70m ropes, 16 quickdraws, belay gear and carrying the backpack led to the most chronic pump.

Mega psyche train with Dave, Matt, Razza and Sam for the quadruple send of this gnarly testpiece. Man, you really have to want the send to hold onto that undercling!

Pretty easy climbing into a horror mono.

Superbly techy. Felt impossible until I figured the beta out then it just flows. A Nowra must do!

Surprisingly not shit.

Barely caught the crux crimp then with skating feet, slipped my way up past the last clip and managed probably the messiest send of this route ever. An exceptionally cruxy climb, but damn those moves are nice!

So damn nice! One of my fave 8's at Nowra. Once on the lip it's 13 moves of glory.

Weird weird weird. Loved it.

It goes! Tried this years a go and got spanked HARD. Have been meaning to get back on it ever since. Punchy moves on awesome rock. Solid for 26.

My longest project to date. Probably 7 weekends over 3 and bit years? A personal milestone in my pursuit to learn this jamming business.

I doubt I'll find a route that will better suit my strengths than this! Big moves and big holds. 5th shot!

Blast through easy territory to a great rest then a rad boulder to gain the anchors. Need so much accuracy for the deadpoint to the pocket! Could have gone on the 2nd shot or 200th shot. First send of the season, feeling good!

One day I'll be able to link more than 10 moves on a route. Thanks Nowra.

Nails move down low on some very poor crimps.

Kept waiting for the crux but it just didn't seem to come. Sustained indeed!

Top quality climbing with a good splash of funky. Tricky moves around the middle then it's just jug pulling to the top.

More an exercise of how much shit gear I could get in before the crux.

I genuinely enjoyed this climb! Felt far less committing than the other routes I tried and had some weird and techy climbing throughout.

Felt as if I was headed for the hangman in that cave before the final headwall moves. Committing to say the least.

Bailed off trying to onsight the final mantle. Went next go after much thrutching.

Be tall: Check ✓ Spoogey conditions so I was pretty chuffed to get it 2nd shot.

Dayuuum that undercling move is hard! Wanted to try this one for a while.

Man this thing packs a punch. What a finish! Tried this one many times over the past couple of years.

Certainly suited my strengths.

This problem boggled my mind and it took us the whole arvo to figure it out. I just stuck to the arete as that seemed to be easiest way. Incredible line that needs power and balance.
