Ascents in New South Wales and ACT as Aid solo

Somehow forgot to bring the cam hooks to the crag, daisy whip when a hand placed beak departed the wall, and had to lower down to back some small cams for the top section.

Lovely position, rap rings at top.

Suggested rack for next time:

-pair narrow cam hooks

-maybe a beak or two

-set or two of brassies (took offset, normals and a bunch of spares) esp in the 3+ sz, peanuts would have been handy

-Set of wallnuts

-offset alloy nuts (?*2) esp smaller sz

-few black/blue aliens

-few ea black/blue totems, grey totem

-C4 - sz 2

no other hooks,big/mid sz cams

Rope soloed at A0 through the roof.

hiked down alone from up river, camped the night after the climb in the little gully with a nice creek. Topped out just as it started pissing down.

The usual shenanigans, few jug laps. Many more needed

Booty retrieval mission. Get in contact with marking details to negotiate return by donation to local rebolt/access fund.

It took me 3.5 hours from rapping in to topping out. Done in two pitches and I hauled a bag

Steep.

In two pitches, made an anchor where the climb diverts to the left crack. My first aid climb that wasn't a bolt ladder. Took maybe 3 hrs ground to ground?

Aid solo lead to remember and refine systems. Then TR solo three times.

Pull up bolt ladder to set up top rope solo. Had to go back down to retrieve stick clip as too scared to attempt crux on lead solo

Good rock and clean aiding on a route that is not climbed much.Maybe M2.

Solo stick clip aid session. Had to get Paul's draws down after his send and didn't have a belayer. Had to get my climbing shoes and chalk bag sent up to free the last moves as it was to far to stick.

Good after the first bolt that bends under body weight!! then springs back after unloading.Big cams between bolts if needed.

Fell of the crux roof of this with Mal Johnston belaying circa '79 in bare feet - ouch! Can't recall if he then lead but no need anyway: 20ish wall with a few sketchy moves and 3 crap bolts, 1.5m ceiling with what look like broken holds, then a 20m grade 8 slab with minimal pro. One for the history books.

This time deliberately jugged thru the crux.

Top rope solo

Enjoyable.

Nice tree belay at bottom of climb and enjoyable fun.

Took me 3hrs,2hrs for the ascent then the other hour for abseils and cleaning the route.Not easy aid soloing a route as most would not know!!

Completed after 4hrs,finished at 2 large trees at top.

Aid solo 1hour to complete,good hard exercise.

1st Pitch - Solo Clean aid ascent - Cams and wires . . Maybe only M3 on modern small gear and technique . . Then had self-belay top-rope free attempt and freed the aids . . Probably Classic Blue Mountains 23 when all is said and done . .

Another fantastic belay tick. Dayna crushed it, the very smol beta is definitely hard 25 at minimum. I’m tempted to take 26 for my excellent belaying.
