Ascents in Central Tablelands as Onsight by Josh Caple

its about time i did this! cruisy & excellent

alz. onsight, laps

with monteith. scrambled 1st pitch, monty led 2nd & 4th, but i got the long & awesome 3rd pitch.... sweeeeet 20m chimney/handcrack/fingerdrack to a rooflet & airy (slightly commiting) couple of face moves. then another 20m of NO gear and llloooooosssse rock, vertical mud, pine needles etc. (crampons might be useful?) semi hanging belayed of a couple shrubs. last pitch is a bit of suspect rock quality too, but not too bad & overall a great outing!!

at night with felly. excellent.

fun oldschooling. kazman led 1st, i ran 2nd & 3rd together

led 1st & 3rd, with Ed, Tony & Noora. too hot for the last pitch, maybe when i get back

just to the double rings- second pitch looked loose and shit

stupid irish, sweet 25+m runout above a wire to the end (optional- to make it more exciting!)

direct start is better. did it with dad seconding...lots of fun!

i think this is what i did?? i was guiding andwas just setting up a toprope for the group

freakin awesome! my first decent trad lead, and what a line!!! ran the pitches together

pretty good, but the sun was right in my eyes so i couldnt see anything!

the coolest chosspile ive ever done! shouldnt have listened to jess, she told me to lead the 1st pitch but the 2nd would have been way cooler to lead, ahhh well lotsa fun all the same

pretty cool! found a free draw on one of the bolts, tell me what type of draw and what bolt and its yours

didn't like the top section (just traverses across to TUA anchors- would like to tsee it go to the top of the cliff & have its own LO's (but a fun and worthwhile expedition all the same)

never thought i'd give out a rating of 'good' to something with a layback crack and a slab in it

it was ther- i had to do it....dont really know why?? i didnt like it that much but it was easily the best 17 in the mountains

loose rock (at least a few holds broke off) but very nice , pumpy little warmup route. should clean up well

started off up the crack using only natural placements, then realised i was making it hard for myself, downclimbed, and went up the right way on the carrots

fun- a bit easy for the grade, but a true novelty climb
