Routes in South West Rocks

Compression banger! Sit start with arete and slot, squeeze the juice up to the top.

Stand start on jug undercling and sloper sidepull. Up and to the left via toe hook trickery.

Located on the rock platform on the right you walk past at the main beach

The only roof problem here! Sit start as far back as you can right hand crimp left hand finger jug then top out. careful not to dab on back wall as you top out. warning must be low tide and make sure there is no swell or small swell to do this problem.

Start on the R, and traverse all the way L (keeping low at the end), just past Shady Dayz then straight up past diagonal rail to topout past fronds.

Sit start out L, quite a hard pull to slopers and slab.

From large jug on right to cool crimps out left on face, then airy topout. Fill hole in landing with pads... Classic!

Best looking line at the crag. Get onto left rising diagonal into steep open book corner. Fixed belay above.

Committing but fun, down climb chimney on southern side of block to exit.

Out from under small roof to beautiful orange rock with interesting features. Great problem!

Sit start. Gastons, finger jams, facey radness!

Start with a high step. exciting finish.

From crimps on right edge of rail, big move up and right to shallow 2 finger pocket. Out left to jug, then out right to side pull in groove. Up on slopers.

Low start to Shadey Dayz. From side pull and small crimp out left, up to break then right to join Shadey Days at flat knob (can be done direct to knob from sit-start at the same grade).

Highball madness riding high above the sea. Sit start big right hand and left face, then up to increasing steepness. Don't drop it at the top. Right face is out.

Salty slopers, clean well. Highball

Thin face

Cool moves, some find reachy.

Up white rock on small under cling side pull to jug rail in break, then straight up through roof on crimp to dead point jug at lip.

Standing start, right hand on jug side pull left hand pinch. Feet matched in crack underneath. Thro / Wrestle your way up to the slopey breaks to top out.

From break up and out left to cool pocket then knob.

Subtle slopers up leaning block, best at low tide.

High, committing with a bad landing! But still enjoyable.

Starts on Golden Arete but goes right to Old Gold

Sit start. Arete jugs are out same with crack.

Short but good.

Highball with committing finish! Pad up. Great if you like that sort of thing?

High with some cool thin holds. Landing slopes to the left!

From start of crack, go direct straight up the face on delightful slopey crimps. Pad up, or do not fall off the top!

This big block forms a chockstone in the slot below the wall with Pip & Squeak. On the north wall start hanging the low slopers, campus up, then big move to finger-jug over the top of the boulder. Really cool. The slot walls are off limits obviously.

Great! Jugs up steep high arete! Big move to hidden hold at top.

Undercling to rails.

Excellent. L along slopey rail, then straight up steep wall to the top. Rarther tall. Do not fall.

Tricky crack problem in the middle of the wall. Luckily eases after the start.

Best problem on wall. Low tide only, avoid area in large swell periods!

Up centre of plaque wall to trick mantle

Great, gets you thinking.

Start on the central pocket/pinch; straight up to slick cracks (be careful at this point; but jugs over the top).

The more overhanging right line, some nice moves, have a spotter handy as it gets a bit higher on this one.

Standing start matched on the undercling, throw out to the slopey right Arete, slap up the sloppy Arete to a mantle finish. Slightly harder then Skull & Bones. Great.

Tricky landing!

The arete just left of the blocky chimney, right of OG, avoiding touching wall to right or blocks

Start deep in hole.

Delicate climbing up the face, with a sloping, slightly worrying topout.

Sit start on slopey shelf, then awkward move up arete and to jug.

Up on crimps at top.

Short leaning jugs on east side of block.

Crimp up then left following nice holds.

Crimpy to cool feather on top out.

Up slopers on arete, then traverse left to top out on jug.

Sit start using both cracks and up to top.

Keeping to left side of the crack.

Sit start in small cave left hand pinch right hand crimp into wide crack to top.

Start on crimps and straight up with out touching the two cracks.

Good, head towards horn jug at top.

Up lay away to juggy break, traverse with bad feet. Out right side under roof to easy top out.

Rail to jugs.

Up the RHS of wall, eases after the start, but avoid bridging to easy corner

About 10m R of wetfeet, undercling up and exit L. (Bold direct finish possible at a much highter grade).

Appealing line, but far easier than it looks. Up underside of boulder, L to hanging arete and up this to easy slab. Ensure good pad and spotters!

Sit start compressing south side of boulder on top of ridge above picnic shelter opposite toilet block

Traverse the hand crack keeping feet off ground then top out up arete

Same start as the project treavese right on crimps and no feet to arete then up.

Hard start, very good!

Start as for KN in corner but step right at flake onto face with horizontal cracks and up to shared anchor with TO.

Start out R (above ledge platform); awesome rising pockets (easy) until you're above the water, where slightly trickier moves go over the top.

Start on the central pocket/pinch, then make a low traverse L across wall, then up. Probably the safest climb.
