Ascents in Northern Rivers as Working

Phoar! Need good fingers for this beast. Brushed all the webs and cocoons off this thing. Just need to trim up the tree at the bottom.

Very wet day. Couldn't be bothered drying both footholds and handholds so climbed in vivos. Fun nonetheless. Likely much easier in dry conditions.

Hard to get off the deck and hard crux! A sport climber like me couldn't figure out a fingerlock so I figured out another way that flowed nicely.

been a while but im back. after refreshing the trail from spot x to crossroads, we arrived at the cliff a little tired. First go on lead saw me confused & wandering off route after a few bolts. Managed my way up to just shy of the mid way anchors, questioning my life choices. Slightly scared, slightly tired but good to be back on & try remember the moves.

This place & route still scares the shit outta me

second time on the wall & just top roped the lower section up to mid-way anchors. firmed up the beta & left the draws on. Need to come back & spend some time sussing the top half, should be interesting!

2 x working burns. Beautiful route. Feels possible with precision and power endurance.

Ooooh boy she thin, up the the crux at 5th bolt. Found it very balancy.

Had a run up this last day of the trip. Only had time for the first three pitches and a go on the 4th pitch. Pretty spooky with the sideways runouts, but bomber carrots and fun/scary swinging falls into a tree haha. There's an epic sideways lunge to get past the second bolt! We'll be back.

What a Mega line. We had a punt on the first 4 pitches to cap off our trip and rapped off and did a rebolt of pitch 2-3. Pitch-1 20 Me onsight Runout on average gear in the bottom half with a hard move then pleasant climbing up a slabby crack corner.

Pitch-2 21 Dan onsight Committing technical slab climbing on bolts, probably well bolted in terms of lost boys but still runout

Pitch-3 21 Alex onsight Nice slab with a couple of bolts then up into a committing layback crack.

Pitch-4 23-25 Alex Alex had a quick look at the first section with a rather intense sideways-lunge-dyno

First section clean, second flake a bit tricky but got the moves. 3rd and 4th here I come. 5th bolt.

This was Spot X discovery day. I still remember the feeling when I turned the corner and saw the wall for the first time. I bolted this route on the day.
