Ascents in Sydney Metropolitan as Onsight as trad or sport by Matt Short

This is a great route. A bit of a struggle up the first bit of the crack where it is wide but then it gets easier towards the bolt. The rest of the crack is good fun with plenty of rests. Then a fun engaging finish up the flake.

Had my trad gear so why not.

This is a really fun route that is well worth doing. There is plenty of gear the whole way up.

Hard first move for a 13, especially if you are short and can't reach the good holds. Did this barefoot as I forgot to bring my shoes over.

Hard start for a 16 but easier after the first few moves.

Nice easy warm up on good rock.

Really good hand crack but the start is hard, probably closer to 20. The other tricky section is where it gets a bit wide for a wile in the middle.

What was I thinking picking an offwidth as a warm up climb before 9am and before I had coffee. I wanted a fight today and this climb gave it to me. 3 very distinct sections, the first 2 are offwidth using various techniques to make progress and the 3rd is a really nice hand crack. More people should get on this, I love watching others on Offwidths.

This is the climb that I enjoyed the most today. The rock was actually pretty solid on this climb and the move out of the cave was fun.

Really good if you like this kind of thing. Always an interesting route when the first bit of gear was a couple of meters from the top.

I really liked moving from break to break. The move by the bolt was quite tricky.

Climbed this on 3 small cams. A good fun climb.

6 Bolts in 8m of climbing wow. Not a bad climb although some of the bolts are a bit dodgy.

Glad to get this one clean, the move out from the roof to the jug is fun.

I was surprised how good this was. After the high first bolt it was a bit run out with only a suspect cam behind a flake but it climbed really well and the last couple of moves were interesting.

Great route, the first move was a bit tall for someone of my height but was just able to get the hold with a jump, after that it was a bit scary to the first high bolt but really good after that.

A well worth doing route with a with of variety.
