Ascents in Vesuvius as various tick types

The start was intense, especially with all the holds pretty soaked and feet slipping all over the place. One of the least wet climbs. The 2 hour walk in was worth it 👌, views were pretty good

Got ultra lost on the walk in so didn’t have enough time to try again for red point. Sick moves on nice rock. Will definitely head back to try again

Hard to get off the deck and hard crux! A sport climber like me couldn't figure out a fingerlock so I figured out another way that flowed nicely.

Couldn't find the pre-crux kneebar, leaving me with little power to pull through. Fantastic, happy to come back to it.

Different style of climbing to what I’m used to but it was fun! Followed the crack to about half way up and then came down.

Really enjoyed this one!

nailed the boulder start but couldnt get the feet right going for 3rd bolt.

missed a few crucial holds but loved the route, constant and sustained, will be back on this for sure!

Felt confident on the flash attempt once passed the crux... then a cruel footslip! Amazing line that keeps offering funky moves until the end (longer than 25m I reckon).

Couldn't unlock the starting moves this time.

Hard bouldery start, followed by some fun jug hauling.

Very hard start. Gets pretty classy after that.

Got to the top with a few rests. Like all climbs here the start was nails, then it eased up.

My first crack after a misguided 4hr hike throughout the heat! Got smashed.

Nope.. all the nopes. The end was fun. Maybe some holds broke at the start.. maybe my lead head just got me.

Fun climb.. slippery feet though.

Send spoiled by pulling of handhold after I got past the hard first few bolts.

Didn't end up getting the send, but an awesome climb nonetheless.

Very hard start for the grade then quite pumpy for a while

So good, but couldn't put it together.

Got the start ok, but the pump caught up to me. The rest was not pretty

Still flipping hard. Spent most of my time trying to work out the traverse left.. Lee did you use a RH gaston in the seam and go left to a slopey edge?

onsighted to the chossy flakey undercling block, did all the rest of the moves, was terrified the whole time climbing the route of breaking things, everything sounded hollow or flexed under weight, would be amazing if the rock was solid

Got to the second bolt then gave up. Was just too lazy to even try properly

had a play on top rope first to see if it was something i could try lead. the moves went really nicely & i enjoyed the sequence

tried on lead but i just dont have the endurance at the moment. pumped out after stuffing my sequence above the 3rd bolt... to the ground

Good grief! Went for a look-see.. definitely a rad and great quality strip of rock.. though I only dogged 4 bolts before bailing. Need fresh toes, fingers, muscles, and temperature!

Onsight to halfway, got crossed up, peel. dogged to the anchor. At the time, I wasn't really enjoying myself.. But I may have been sore, hot and tired. Ill have another shot at some stage.

Should have been done this shot, but a rogue crappy hold thought it would be funny to break and spit me off at the top..

With B. Really absorbing route, loved it. The start is the crux but the rest keeps you thinking too

With Shannon. Great old school style, and a tricky layback crux which thankfully is above awesome gear. Double up on grey and purple camalots, triple green aliens is nice too.

a lot of attempts went into getting established on the wall. hard moves IMMEDIATELY! when i finally pulled on & got the 3rd bolt i was a little zapped for energy and couldnt finish it. will get on it next trip!
