Description

The fourth wall out of the water (the last one before the end of the first gorge) is amazing - huge 20m high cliff, vertical on LHS, with large overhangs and roofs on RHS.

Access issues inherited from Nitmiluk Gorge

Swimming / canoe access is only possible during the dry season, due to flooding and possibility of saltwater crocodiles! The Gorge is all within the Natmiluk National Park.

Approach

About a 1.5h paddle up the river from the carpark is the only way. Large overhanging cliff looms up on the RHS of the river.

Descent notes

Jump or downclimb.

Grade Route

Takes the clean streak just left of blackened waterstreak on LHS of the Forth Wall. Nice face climbing, increasing in difficulty towards the top, but nothing very hard. Sketchy traverse in from ledge, or water-start.
