Hurrah!!...a trad route

Grunty. It probably is only 17 in this particular STYLE of crack climbing (wide hands and fists and awkward movement) but I think most will find it tricky. I thought it was quite strenuous. Not too bad at all. The lower-offs are bloody convenient. Bring 1 x BD #2, 2-3 #3's, and 2-3 #4s (depending on how comfortable you are with runouts).

Thompsons point trad.!! An off size for my hands, cupped hands made the crux feel really insecure.

I think this is a 19. Good jams at the bottom but quite difficult squashed fist jams at the crux.

Solid jams once you get into it. I'll come back for the lead after some more jamming practice.

Had to play the puss card. It started raining, and the rope was already running through draws on the anchor. Get's wide and awkward past the overhang. #4 x2 for up high.

Found this desperate at 17- more like fists for me. I had to pull on gear to get up this beast. I'll be back for the tick, which I suppose means I'll be lugging a rack to nowra again

Wish the jamming was more sustained

Bit run out because we didn't have many large cams.

I'd always thought this looked like an easy hand crack. in fact its a somewhat desperate fist crack. great trad lead by harry, and with only one #4 camalot. it would easily eat another couple.

fantastic crack! start with hands jamming deep. up a few moves the can switch to a nice layback. further up as rock changes colour its fist jamming

Steepish with wide hands/fists. Needs 2 x #4 & 1 x #5 friends to keep things calm if you're out of shape!

Nice crack. Rested twice on the gear in failed onsight attempt. Excuses abound (too hot, too humid, too tired from leading other climbs, tape gloves coming apart, etc.) Took BD #2-#5 with double #3-4 and placed it all.

Happy I can fist jam now, don’t think I could have done this last year! ‘17’ in the same way Psychopath is 17: you’ll be proud of yourself. Unless you have really big mitts and it really is a hand crack. Basically walked 2 #4s the whole slab, #5 also handy, and some dodgy jug sling action for the top out.

what a wrestle! took a few intense goes to get past the low flared cruxy sections.

Definitely a bit wider than handjams for my baby hands, others might have an easier time

First burn I almost got to the relief break but then fell adjusting. Crack is mega and got really bloody with it. This was definitely harder than the the grade 18 Rick Roller line. Good jam practice for me.
