Ascents in Scenic Rim by Wendy Eden having trad-cpr or ascent-date

This is so easier than Barbedwire canoe! Still won't be rushing back to lead it. Relies on friable tiny flakes.

Definitely worth wandering around to. Packs in quite a bit of climbing, and had me on the edge of falling off a few times. Once I was only saved by falling into a shoulder jam! You can build a nest of micro gear from a good stance below the thinnest bit, then it is a bit committing to the roof. There's an anchor up right above the bolted arete.

Great climb, definitely the way to do the route

Safe lead with many small cams (purple and green c3s at crux). Excitingly slippery, especial as it was spitting. Would be multiple stars if longer, but main corner is very short.

Just as we were trashed from Inquisition in the Rye, this turned out to be a desperate thrutch in a smooth v groove with poor locks, flared jams and fiddly gear. Might be anywhere from 18-28, who can grade this sort of thing?

A great route, think of it as even better if you have short legs like me and have to actually climb the initial crack rather than bridge into LLL. Seems pretty soft for 25. Has an anchor above it now.

Technical climbing with lots of layaways and the odd poor jam or lock and a goey exit of crimpers and gastons. Seems pretty soft for 26 though.

Much better looking line now and surprisingly clean. No grot from the block, but a bit of grot in the crack. I had a 4, 5 and 6 in it, but you could get away with just 4s. Thrutched so hard I almost had a heart attack! Lou was happy to give it 22.

I don't know about calling this brilliant. It's nice enough climbing, but you are on typical frog hollow sound flakey things a lot. Plus it's short and not really what I come to Frog for. A few very long moves and would be very exciting on lead.

Continually nails! Awesome 3 dimensional climbing, often funky, insecure and pumpy. Could do with an anchor. Placed a high runner rapping of HS.

Very cool climbing, strenuous and balancy thin locks and layaway to a flaring offwidth in the back of the groove. Gear very thin and spaced down low.

Bloody exciting run out crux.

Starting from Chook Fear is silly. The line is definitely the direct. Easy for 24 if you aid up to the flared crack.

A good 20m or so of climbing in the middle. Mank to get to the first corner and main crack, mank to get out to the lookout at the end. Probably worth finding if you have done lots of the other stuff at Frog though

The last 30m of this ruin all the goodness of the first 10m. Do yourself a favour and just climb straight up Lord of the Flies, which is a great route. Rock is generally terrifying the whole way up the corner and above and it's so close to LOTF that even my short legs could bridge into it at plenty of points along the way.

The start of the route is almost impossible, the middle of the route is even more impossible, but then it becomes a really nice 23 ish thin hands crack. Kim Carrigan had the right idea with the 7 hex about half way up the route preplaced from Inquisition. Hard to imagine climbing this in 1979 in EBs.

Hard start, hard finish, tenuous and technical movement in between. Won't be trying to red point this on the limited gear available!

Fantastic sustained pitch and turned into quite the battle at the top. Might be 24 but I have taken a precautionary leaf from the Adam Demmert school of grading.

This is actually quite independent of MP - you have to make a purposeful step right to use MP. If leading, you might want to do that before heading up the arete for gear but on a nice friendly top rope, you don't touch MP at all. Quite nice climbing, although has a few typical Frog questionable but essential flakey face holds.

Really nice, sustained climbing. A little grotty but would clean up easily. Rock is much better than the other routes on the wall (until you join Angel Rider and its corner full of wedged blocks)

Even done in classic Doug-point style of toproping the worst rock from gear placed from Hello Sailor, this is still an exciting undertaking in negotiating choss.

Don't know about some of the best gear at Frog. Maybe you should look at DD and C. Can get decent gear in the pin scars, but placing ground up would be difficult to get in around your fingers. The twin crack section is hard to see into the cracks to place the gear.

I wasn't sure I was enjoying this at the time, but by the time Douglas had finished seconding, I was convinced it was an awesome route. Thin and steep to start, then pleasantly featured lower groove gives way to thrutchfest 2016 up the butt smooth section. Great training for the valley! Good rock, great line, sustained climbing, go beat yourself up on it.

This would easily be a one star route if it didn't have the ledge in the middle of it. There's actually nothing reachy about the start, it's just technical, a bit fiddly to place gear and fairly sustained for the all of 5 m or so to the ledge.

This is a walk in the park after Gone and Forgotten. Pleasant technical climbing, glad I wasn't leading though.

Sadly disappointed with this. the rock is crap to start and the climbing dodges around the line in too many places. The route with the chopped bolts beside it was so close that the chalk suggests that is how everyone climbs paranoia. The gear is remarkably ok after the start however.

The original description of an eternal purgatory of desperation is correct! Feels grades harder than Carrion Comfort, Impulse or Wild One. Gear also bloody exciting. Impressive alzeimer's lead by Adam

Probably even more desperate than BWC, made all the more exciting by being less trafficed and less clean. Fixed gear is woeful.

Seems more like 21 ish. nice clean offwidth, then techy shallow corner with some friable rock to tree, gear is a bit spaced at one point. Desperate mantle onto ledge where an anchor would really add to the route, but you have to climb a grotty 3m then over choss to anchor above satiricon. Def worth doing if you have run out of classics at the grade though.

Terribly contrived mini variant where even my midget legs can reach back into the chimney. Not really worth bothering with unless you want a bee line straight to the Yankee anchors.

Started up on lead, but gear is small, fiddly and not abundant, retreated and TRed, happy to have bailed as the rock gets progressively worse. Don't climb the left face of the shitty corner, after a massive flat top flexed on me, the shitty corner looked great. Some good (and really quite difficult) moves down low though.

This one was way better than I expected - there was only 1 section where I thought it was particularly dodgy. Overall, the climbing was good and I've climbed on worse rock. Some of it was at Frog too.

pretty cruisy and enjoyable climbing, although I was happy to step into the right hand crack near the top as the exit is filthy.

I always find this size crack desperate. It remains harder than Carrion Comfort next door!

Great climbing, probably the friendliest 22 at Frog. Actually ends above Faki ledge, build a toprope anchor and down climb 4m to ledge to belay

Desperate start and cruisy crack for midgets with small hands. Probably the reverse for everyone else.

With a triple rack of micro wires, there was enough gear at the start but it never gets wide enough for micro cams. Kind of annoying in that you are all focused on finding gear and not really on climbing. The top corner is quite nice but a long way off top quality Frog offerings.

Nice enough, easy for grade climbing but remarkably bad rock fro the entire length of the route. No gear at start and all subsequent gear in manky rock. Easy to top rope after Rickety Kate. Completely hazardous to lead.

Funky climbing with more gear than I expected although I was still quite happy to be top roping.

Nice enough climbing in very short sections with divided by a big ledge. Some fridge sized blocks in the crack at the end.

Why this gets such a bad rap in Andrew Martin's guide, I don't know. Gear is absolutely fine. Rock is ok by Frog standards, better than plenty of other routes. CLimbing is pretty good. Defnitely not R and probably not 18.

Very thin, technical and very spaced gear. Happy to be on a top rope.

Discovered that even 3 number 6s are not enough for wussy me to get up this ... bailed about 2/3s of the way and had a TR after Sorcerer's. Seemed hard eoungh even on TR!

Entertaining climbing on a toprope as long as the whole climb doesn't fall down.

Sadly, I found this route much nicer on the eye than it was to climb. Super thin and painful and feels pretty hazardous on the tendons. It wouldn't blink if it was given 25. The top half was much more enjoyable when I stopped feeling terrified of hurting myself.

This turned into one of the greater battles of the trip - if you have short legs, you can't bridge out to the would be very helpful ridge on the right wall and you get to thrucht desperately up a flaring offwidth. 6 camalot very very nice to have. This is all ok though, the problem is the unavoidable death block near the top.
