Ascents in The North

Found this little gem next to the megacave. Super fun route. The climbing position is epic!

Finger crack, to rooflet, to hands, to fingers again, to another rooflet, back to hands, some face climbing, and then a chimney to top it off. This one has it all. I would give it 2 stars if not for some sandy rock at the rooflets, which will clean up over a few more ascents.

A nice face climb that eats nuts for breakfast.

My first new route at Cania! Finished this up for Zac after he lowered down at about 2/3 height. We quickly discovered there were much better faces waiting to be climbed.

A heaaaavy dog haha. Really does look like Voices of the Sky's sandstone brother. Got all the moves, but will be epic to link placing gear. Can't wait for next shot! Will have to do Voices of the West first ...

A pleasant jaunt! Trutchmusters and non-lovers of the wide will both like this. Avoiding the staghorns at the top adds to the route. Perfectly-sculpted pockets lead the way around them!

What amazing rock. Far out. Scene of some solid trundles. More trundling will unlock a few stunner face climbs further left.

What an experience. This is what climbing is about. Unlikely roof monkey-ing leads you to the major roof crack above. The line continues right, with footers leading the way. Made it through this - not without popping a major footer and somehow holding with a high fingerlock and low lock-off - into the above vertical corner crack, only to be swooped by falcons guarding their nest on the ledge above. Belayed Frosty up to me, then bailed. One for the off-season. Epicness.
