Ascents in North by Shaun Shuncan Duncan

Don't let the chossy start deter you, it has a bit of everything in it. Happy to get past the first crux at overhang yet got perplexed at the next crux. Took quite a few goes to work out the very bouldery sequence gatekeeping the vertical finish. Fantastic adventure, felt harder than 24.

Pretty goey! Crack too skinny for hand in many places and smeary feet. Pure crack experience for a few meters! Happy to get a 1 sit on toppie.

Very nice! Great for a warm up being fairly easy until the final crux sequence.

New high point. It's feeling easier

Nice to jump on Byron's send train and get the tick.

The extension is a fun juggy traverse with a definitive crux guarding the anchor. New high point trying to clip last draw. Got the crux dialed too. Better conditions and I think it will go

How to spice up an easy multi... Linked first 3 pitches and símul-climbed with 25m of rope. Last 2 pitches simul-climbed in the dark

2nd half of route is spectacular 👌

Can do the "dyno" statically by pressing with a single finger of each hand off the right hand pocket and the far edge of the left hand slope. Stand up on high right foot. Much easier than V6 with this beta. Fun and commiting

A classic super fun birthday multi covering all the rock types and styles that Fred's has to offer. Every pitch was great with the 5th pitch being my fav. A shame I had a fall on the crux pitch... Just means I have to do it again

The flake looks so good so I had to give it a try as the light faded. Strenuously managed to get the moves past the flake sequence before retreating

Found some easier beta for the crux thanks to Richard. Should go next sesh

Nice technical climb

Got through the mantle with a backstep (such a sick move). Got stuck on the intense gastons after the roof.

Cool crimpfest. Techy and sustained. Pretty happy to get all the moves on my first attempt. 3 sits to rest those screaming fingers.

Cool route. Tough crux getting beyond the horn. Found some beta that works as I ran out of steam. A bit gutted it didn't go today but it was a super fun day out with the crew

What a fun route! Should have went 2nd go but dropped the final move before anchor. Pretty chill for the grade. Height helps with the final slopey moves

Such a cool climb! Worked all the moves up the direct section. Got them all except the move to the "hose pocket". Fun, hard, interesting moves. Dyno is epic!
