Ascents in The Cathedral as Attempt

top was way too cryptic (read hard af). bailed onto prevenge. couldn't do that either so bailed onto dobsters. sydney guidebook thankfully says you gotta do this in winter otherwise its impossible, which makes my ego feel much better. thanks mr carter

Slapped at nothing.

First lead attempt, let go a few moves after splitting from FIYF. Not fully recovered 🤧, also a little spooked by the runout which didn’t seem so bad on top rope.

Always walked past this. Glad to have had a go today. Strenuous and balancy lackbacking..hard. Kept coming off between 4th and 5th bolt. Possibly cooler temps could help

This thing kicked my ass, but I liked the climb, the chimney is almost a spa for your knees 🤣🤣🤣 But 21 may be slightly sandbagged

Does feel like it will go around v4 with some nice desperate slaps - though you should really bring a mat for this one

I have never pulled the direct 23 move (despite my prior crag logs - they were all the stem version). But then the smackdown began. Can never have too many wins a Cathedral.

However worth noting I used the flake to the right of the bolts but no stemming across fat crack, but the guidebook and crag mention staying left of the bolts for the 23. Anyone know something about this?

Thought it would be an easy warmup to monopoly but felt even more committing. As Jake said; I may as well bake in the sun standing on crsytals of the climb I came here to do. Cool though

Really tricky especially on a hot and humid day. Not there yet

i was worried about remembering the moves but didn't even get them today, couldn't find the position to get the fourth draw on, i'll blame the humidity, next time

Nope still can't figure out the crux move. laybacked most of the start which i think was different to last time and I could have sworn you used ot have to traverse into it. Led up vitez to set the anchor.

Went for the onsight, did pretty well until I got tired/chickened out going to the second last bolt. Need to get over that fear of falling again.

Didn't really figure out that one move wonder, need some better beta.

Getting your feet on headwall is hard (for me)!

I am not sure if we need to stay on the face next to the last bolt or go left. Nice easy start then hard moves above the last draw.

Weird that the start crux is meant to be the harder of the two, definitely find it to be the opposite.

Went for a flash attempt, got the beta wrong coming out of the halfway rest.

wow v stoked. might go soon? still need to figure out beginning. but way cool moves the whole way. seeing as this slab 24 seems possible, looks like im in for a paradigm shift. might also help to give this a daytime attempt. but then again maybe slabs are for nighttime?

Too humid, route also needs a clean.

Attempted, got lost and went onto creatures features which is quite harder at the top. Moved back on the route to pick an easier path
