Ascents climbed between 2019-00-00 and 2019-12-31 in Tasmania by Cameron Semple

Really good jamb route. Felt stiff for the grade, but I'm way out of practice. Heaps of bang for buck with the semi exposed start near the end of the ledge.

Finished it after Kym got most of the way up on her second ever trad lead. End is harder than the grade the way I did it. Maybe should have stuck left.

Lead first, second and fourth this time. Probably went too high before coming back across into the line on the second and had a heart in mouth moment. One sit near the end of the last slab. Great climb.

Really good climb! Probably the best climb around this grade I've done on The Pipes. Even the chimney up the top was over before it got too gross.

This ain't no Sand River! This is a great (very) little crag. The routes make you think and are pumpy as. Don't think I did any better than last time I was here. At least I lead it. Hung on nearly every bolt.

Super thin down low, then really nice sustained climbing the rest of the way.

Couple of awkward falls and bailed. Dan found a nicer way past my high point (mainly by being a good climber).

Nice route with a hard sequence getting established into the hanging corner. Nice exposed bridging above that. Hardish for 20. Couple of hangs figuring things out

Really nice route if you're tall and can reach between the good holds through the bulge. Otherwise maybe add a grade or two.

Fun technical route. Would be an interesting lead. One hang.

Fun moves around the roof. Maybe I did it wrong but felt pumpy for 16.

Good fun. First climb since hand injury. Felt ok but still a way to go.

Some pretty hard sequences on this. Pulled off a milk bottle sized block.

Good option. Probably a nicer way to finish this line. Be very suspicious of the big block to the right of the crack at about the third bolt. Vibrates and sounds hollow. Looks to be held in by mud. Hard to avoid though.

Great route. One hang on the last bolt and started with the third bolt clipped

Was a bit too pumped to get this. A few sits.

Still a great route, holds a lot more polished than last time.

Still not straight forward but got it second shot.

Warm up

Beautiful late season weather on the pipes.

Topped out on sunset after a stunning autumn day in a beautiful location. 3 White Bellied Sea Eagles watched over us for most of the day. One to remember.

Bloody hard! Pulled on draws to get to the top.

Some very nice moves with good gear. A little spoogy. One rest.

Clean to the crimps then a couple of attempts to get past that. Really nice climbing.

Got it. Such a nice climb. Nearly came off in a really weird spot. But held it together.

Warm up

Did most of the moves. Just got a bit tangled up at one point and pulled through. A fair way off ticking this. Injured another fucking pulley...

Some very delicate and creative slab climbing down low, then a few holds that weren't as good as I wanted them to be through the roof. One hang.

Fun

Seems hard to onsight. Still found it tricky down low on the second shot. Really nice slab moves.

Awkward, dirty introduction to crack climbing.
