Ascents in West End Quarry

It's a bit of fun. Wanna get it clean.

A nice route. Pretty loose and crumbly at the top. A similar grade to Basalt Assault (18) but crux is at top.

Lots of crimps. I like the undercling traverse. Other then that's, it's almost the same as the original route. Lots of small loose rocks, especially near the top - very crumbly. Also solid for the grade.

There's no obvious holds and seems a little contrived. Hard to follow; too far right and you're on Basalt Assault, too far left and you're on Assault on Toby's Mum route and you can't reach to clip... I'll have to go back on top rope and try it again... I'm guessing the setters went far left join in with Assault on Toby's Mum at the end of it's travsese on TR but then you can't clip the FHs on lead.

It's a little run out. Solid for the grade. Loose rocks but not too bad...

Easier climbing than Basalt Assault in my opinion,

Good first climb for the day, finally got to do it after hearing people talk about it for ages!

the climb gets muddy/dirty you have to brush it off each time you climb it

Great fun. Basalt makes for amazing solid climbing.
