Ascents in Stopper Walls

Got through the bolts and slumped just above on gear. Tricky upper crux.

Just getting to top of buttress, very dirty but probably no ascents since it was done

The "crux" is fine and well protected. The scary slab after makes me nevous.

Yep, the reptile was home in horizontal crack near top. One to lead in winter maybe.

Deserves a rebolt. Scary after the rope got stuck on a carrot to the side just as I did the crux on first attempt and I couldnt go up. Nice pendulum.

Not clean, hard to TR solo as overhanging and dynamic. Definitely deserves a rebolt.

Would be a sketchy lead (Mr Gray)

Nice new rings, recent rain has poured dirt over these climbs.

A dangerous present....more crumbly than dangerous, but the whole stopper ledge is eroding

Two snakes and one sit, I get through the crux and have problems getting onto slab….should come back and lead it this winter, but the trad placements are a little tricky

3 laps, two of them clean. The plan was to improve the style but the 3 snakes 2 m below the anchor in the horizontal crack, and the fact I forgot the wires, and the unforecast shower were the excuses not to lead it today

I’ve decided the moves are ok. I think the up grade from don’t bother to average is a Covid thing….

Double ropes, placed all the gear on lead, I did suss the #3 RP placements before hand, but had to problem solve a fair bit due to the fact that the gear fills some of the better holds. Quite pleased, there’s a few run outs and some of the gear placements are fairly blind, now I can just enjoy top roping it in future!

Three interesting sections with some good moves that can be finessed by technical trickery.

One brief foot misstep, felt pretty good otherwise. The usual brown tree snake just below anchors. It didn’t move.
