Routes in Western Australia for selected grade

Follow the right slanting crack 2 metres right of Lost Arrow. Finish by going straight up the sentry box. Two fixed hangers at the anchor.

Climb the crack 3 m R of the gully and the short wall above to the grassy ledge. Move 4 m R and follow the crack up to the headwall. Climb this to the top.

The easy crack. Plenty of gear.

Easy Free solo at the right edge of the slab

Start at natural hidy hole, follow crack up then go right as becomes over hung, then come back left to topout.

Start on the left of the thick red band in the rock. Nice easy climb with plenty of GIMBs to two ring bolts 3/4 the way up. Second pitch is short and runout. Could be done in one pitch.

2m right of Elfin. Start to the left of small mantleshelf. High foot and stand to clip first bolt.

2m to the right of Bit buster. Up past spike to overlap.

Starts on the far left of the slab. Pockets follow 3 bolts to a DBB.

Perth Rock Climbing 2nd Edition

Big crack facing west, boulder start to slab up to top

Climbs the obvious shallow, scooped corner. A fine outing up the slab loaded with dazzling pegmatite jugs. Climbs past 3 bolts to common DBB/lower off with NM. A crag classic.

Starts right of the tree. Reachy boulder problem start (for a grade 13!) takes you to pleasant slabbing. 4bolts to DBB lower off shared with Bril-liant Slab.

Climb up Yaganing and clip the first bolt. Then traverse right past loose flakes , shrubs and whatever natural gear you feel is appropriate until you reach the fine but short and easy corner. Climb this easily and then head right to a DBB above Book of Torah.

Start up the groove 2m L of the bottom bolt on Stepping Up. Boulder up groove, using edges and flakes to left, to reach a bomber #1 camalot placement at 5m, then two more smaller cam placements as the groove continues to the top. Sling spike for top belay. Fun consistent climbing, up the unprotected slab, then make a bee line for the top on great holds.

A wonderful line, the bottom slab is protected by a BR (bolt plate required) after which the gear and holds come with some thought provoking moves in-between. Finish up the flake.

The chimney/crack corner that turns into a pleasant face climb up the right wall. Start by following the crack that takes big gear and has a terrible lumpy and soft limestone covering (you can use smaller gear in places, just look hard and be creative). Use the right face to finish (avoiding the staircase gully to the left).

Well featured boulder with a lot of warm ups all over - various sitters etc probably ranging from VB-V2ish

Well featured low wall with warm up options. Sit starts etc.

Good trad route for those just beginning to lead at this grade. Well protected. To descend from top, walk approx. 10 m to L (looking out from the cliff) to a small tree for rap off. There may be a sling and old biner here - check condition! A 60 m rope will reach the ground easily.
