Ascents in Vegemite Wall

Fun! Bit sandy and mossy in spots

Great microadventure. Enjoyable and somewhat varied crack, all 5 metres of it.

Fun lil adventure as an alternative to the windy horrorshow in the mountains that day. The lengths we go for a few metres of crack.

Access from the top wasn't too bad. P2 had possibly the best 5m of splitter in the Illawarra cams up to #4 was sufficient but plenty of opportunities to place a #5 too if you'd like the confidence boost. For best results give it a good brush on the way down if accessing from the top. Had to stop a couple of times on the ascent to remove sand from my eyes and mouth. Beware of the loose block towards the top of P2. Ascending back up our fixed line through the scrub at the top wasn't much fun.

Overall good climbing and heaps of fun. Quite committing but that adds to the more adventurous vibe than other routes in the area.

Classic bolted dirty crack.

The second pitch is awesome and memorable! My jamming is so poor that I slipped out in the perfect splitter crack, got back on at the ledge and boosted up it old school layback style which felt easy and mega enjoyable, I definitely need to work on my crack skills...

1st pitch, 2nd clean. 2nd pitch onsight.

Great climb, I came for the crack and I wasn't disappointed. Will clean up nicely with a tad more traffic. Take a thin rope to squeeze though those bolts. Thanks for putting this great line up Wall

Bloody unreal line, feels great to have finally lead it after first top rope soloing it years ago. This is one to remember, it climbs so well. very different to the standard ledgyness that the rest of the Illawara is known for.
