Ascents in Woy Woy

Lost the onsight at the crux, now with beta dialed will aim for red point next time.

Fun problem. Happy to send after getting the moves but not linking on first attempt several months ago.

Good climbing, all bolt plates.

No way near a grade 12 if you climb the face within an arms reach of the bolts. It was my first time at the crag and I took a beginner thinking this would be doable. Silly grade. Ended up using the chimney and even that is unprotected and not worthy of a 12 until you traverse back to the bolt. Stupid.

Juicy climbing with great moves, but the whoever bolted the anchors must’ve been on crack. Two carrots inside the cave, near impossible to find disguised in the lichen, unable to lower without leaving a bolt plate/biner/draw. It would be a classic climb if the anchors were rings on or near the face, or better yet, the route could veer right around the cave and keep going. Otherwise, I love it.

No friends, long run out. Start move is gnarly, but beyond that, nothing too hard.

Interesting move to 4th clip. Sent clean on the second attempt.

Sweet crossover move on this, interesting for a 15.

First move always feels odd on this.

Love this route. Every visit deserves a send.

Look out this climb can be very damp in winter with limited sun

Second run up this bad boy felt so so smooth

Sent this before COVID. But upon return, just couldnt make it over the bulges. Something to work on.

Great warm up although that blank mid section can be a psyche out early in the morning

Between bolt 2 and 3 I went up right of the arete which felt awful. Going up left is much easier.

First outdoor sports climb! Really enjoyed this one and was humbling to realise how different outdoor climbing is to indoor.
