Ascents in Alberta as Flash by Nick Baggaley

Not sure if this has seen a second ascent before us, but it's worth it as a fun alternate finish to Snivelling Gully. The mixed crux pitch is tenuous and hooky; good practice for the alpine!

Led the whole route in a morning. Good shape, not too picked out. Cleaned a ton of V-threads on rappel.

Last route with Ed before he went home. Fun, and great views out to the Parkway and across to Stanley Falls Senior.

Quite picked out and fat, but still fun.

Shared leads - I led crux. Long rambly route.

Fun warmup.

Put up the draws for Zoe. Felt good above draws on the upper bit.

Warmed up on this. Bit more tricky than I was expecting.

Linked pitches all the way above Ultrabrewers. Fun and easy.

First pitch was crumbly ratshit.... the rest was great quality if a bit exposed up high.

Found better beta this time around. Still fun.

Led P2 - good to get back on limestone after my fall.

Varied moves on a big booming flake.

Spicy runouts in places.

Bad stance to clip for the crux moves.

Cleaned the route again. Unfortunately a bit shaky.

First exam route out of the way.

Warmup. Felt kinda rough on my back.

Fun warmup to the main event.

Did it without using the bolts. Gear all the way up.

Got the beta wired now.

Fun offwidth/chimney section up higher.

Interesting route with good gear throughout.

Very chandeliered, but good fun with good sticks, feet and rests throughout.

Steep initial curtain, easing off quickly above.

Thin ice leading to a super fun pitch of mixed climbing up a crack feature. Good rock quality.

Another fun day out. Route was in thin conditions.

Great climb! Good rock for most of the route, and the 10a crux took good jams and provided nice rests throughout.

Climbed the left hand variation in very (very) wet conditions. Good route, but better when it's not dripping in the final chimney.

Interesting slopy moves up high.

Surprisingly fun, with good rock for Tunnel. Adam lowered and cleaned so I could lead the crux as well.

Fun afternoon on a pretty good line - got to lead all the interesting (harder) pitches!

Pretty mellow route. Climbed the #1 Right Finish up a crack above BBQ ledge to make it a bit more challenging.

Tricky ice with some chandeliering low down. Easier higher.

Another fun lap up my favourite mellow alpine mixed route. Way better conditions than before.

Hard, but doable. Very wet first pitch followed by hard dry ice above.

Fun, mellow route. Drove south after but Lady Wilson's Cleavage was not in.

Fun - first pitch was thin, but upper pitches were fat and in good shape!

Knifeblades came in handy! Unconsolidated snow made for slow progress.

Simul soloed all but the Big Step. Good quality rock almost the whole way, but smoky conditions.

Car-to-car ascent of the NF of Fay. Great weather and icy conditions on the face.

Very nice warmup.

Long day out! Fun, mostly sustained at an easy grade with a slightly greasy crux pitch.

Fun and varied if only 3 pitches. Good hard pulling on the upper roof.
