Ascents of Bolt Line 1 having Beta

Beginning is 5.8 the rest is 5.3ish

The crux is always a little spooky when you haven't done it in a while.

First few moves a little awkward but spent a lot of time figuring out area between bolt 2&3. Rest is straightforward

Very lovely climb

Lovely climb, loved warming up on it. Had a pre clip for the first draw and the quickdraws has been set. Super nice warm up .

Now that I've bolted a bunch of routes, I realize the bolting on this one is, actually, kind of crap.

One move wonder and then a lot of easy climbing

Started up the face just right of the first bolt instead of on the left side this time.

Fun, gentle route

Lots more spiders this time – got psyched out during the beginning of this climb.

Very stiff for a 5.6, even old school. Easy after the third bolt.

Took a fall at the crux between bolt 2 and 3

Love the crux above the second clip.

Getting to the first bolt feels sketchy but the moves are not hard for the grade. After that its smooth sailing with some delicate slab moves on the crux.

Lead it again, with a bit of excitement in the crux section -- was surprised by reaching for a hold, and finding a toad. Not surprised enough to fall, luckily.

Lead clean as my one of my first leads in a while. A little more sketchy then I would have liked.

My 3rd lead ever... and scary at that.
