Ascents in Historical by David Gibbs

Wet, with a pack full of gear makes it a bit more work.

Climbed it with my pack on, as our way out from this local bit of cliff.

And Bertrand lowered another clump of trees rightward for the re-direct, cause he spotted a good line, with some closer to vertical climbing. It had some nice vertical stuff on it.

Looked like a nicer face from the first climb... lowered rightwards, then climbed it. Some quite good climbing.

First climb of the day, where we rappelled in. Nothing super-special, though it has a few nice moves here and there.

Took one fall, when a hold broke in the middle of a move. It had tested ok, but when I really weighted it... oops. Nice climbing -- could be really good when cleaned.

My First Ascent Trad lead for the day. Wanders a bit, but lots of good climbing in it. I think I put in 10 pieces, plus slinging a tree. Had a bigish piece come off in my hand as I started to pull on it... managed to catch it, rather than drop it on my belayer.

Some work with an off-width type feel to it going through the cleavage, but otherwise easy pleasant climbing.

A couple tricky gear placements, and a nice feeling of exposure on one ledge.

Did it as a warm-up.
