Nails hard bouldering. I had very little.

2 burns. To top, but not figured transition to right wall.

1 burn. Lots of tries of crux. Got foot across a few times but couldn’t transition

YESSS! Did the crux twice cleanly in thunderstorm 1 burn.

Wasp in the face, wasp on the pants, wasp dead, bolt fall off. Venga Lee Venga! (2 burns)

Couldn't do crux today, exhausted by 3rd try (3 burns).

3 burns. Felt strong. Almost got foot across to R wall on 2nd burn. 4 inches maybe. Next year!

Spanked. Bolts in the roof are now Bear Grylls water traps. Drip, drip, drip. Moss gardens.

Getting the gear on. I was getting my foot to the other wall but couldn't transition.

Fell on move to golf ball, struggled more on crux.

Well, what can I say? Overhyped for starters, bloody Gresham. Secondly, there's a blank patch so what's he done? Drilled a mono pocket. Yes, it is drilled. An my frikkin finger doesn't fit in properly. HB would have no chance. Train L-hand monos if you want this tick.

The gear is now on. Incredible route.

Got off route, then crux smashed me. Did all moves to top.

First try today, and did it so nicely. I am stoked! [6]

Fell again, but spent the time and figured out the moves properly. Feeling a lot more positive now. It will go, just a question of when.

New Mon Bat extension. Bouldery. Mine was perhaps the 2nd ascent? Chloe Minoret flashed it after me (gah!!!). Thanks to Simon for the draws and encouragement.

Insane 40m roof, my hat is off to the bolter. What an epic that would have been.

Hell, I couldn't get past the first bolt of the extension. It was soapy, but still. Desperate.

Putting the gear up, re-working things.

Fell going to the tennis-ball pocket.

Fell on the opening of the crux.

Robbie put the draws on so I could try for a redpoint straight up. Skipped two clips, fell on the traverse (highpoint), 10m fall. Skin destroyed.

Went up to clean the draws and somehow kept going despite screaming skin. My gaston power somehow compensated for my piss-poor finger strength. I battled my arse off for this. My best tick of the year? [6]

Final day of climbing in Kaly -- in the rain Psyched to do this big bad roof second go despite some wet tufas. [2]

Got to the crux move on the onsight, 1 bolt from the top, 50m up. Just immense.

Fell off the final move again at the 50m mark. Gutted. Found better foot beta.

Top went into the sun but was well motivated to not fall again. 55m of epic steepness capped with a slabby wall crux move. Yowza! [4]

One quick burn. Crux felt a bit sketchy.

Dog after a big day. Pure exhaustion. "I'm going to TRY to pull up on this quickdraw, keep it tight!"

Undercling training paid off. 2nd shot, and easily.

Second shot today. One of the best routes on the island.

Contrived up top unfortunately. One star.

2nd shot. Punchy, classic face climbing. 10 mins between shots. BOOM!

7c/c+. Amazing battle. Several cruxy sections between very good rests which may ruin your T-shirt.

Onsight to final tufa, then a harsh smackdown.

Onsight to final tufa, but then spent ages unlocking the crux boulder problem. [2]

Wow! Looked impossible from above so had to give it a try. Mega body position climbing on slopey death holds. I'm intrigued.

Sun was coming in, but I fell on my crux at 2/3 height.

Got to the crux hanging the draws which I was pretty pleased with actually.

Got a bit psyched on this during the camp so had to come back for it. A whole series of "non holds" which you can somehow make work using friction and recruitment. Insane body position climbing. Un-Kalymnian in every way. [4]

Fell on the LAST bolt on the onsight. Destroyed! Super happy to have got that far onsight.

Pretty happy to bag the Cobra second try. All routes and extensions in the bowl now done. Used a stack of long slings and roller biners. Hayden Kennedy promptly flashed it on my gear [2]

Back on the wagon again.

Tickety tick - cleaning up an old dog.

Had a play on toprope as I was lowering off Lactic Shock, moves felt okay and I had a brief window before it went into the sun. Fortune favours the bold! [2]

Got to the top wall and got brutally shut down. Seemed impossible.

I suspect this is one of those routes which you can either do quickly, or it will be impossible. Very bouldery top section. Super cool though with marble-y holds. [2]
