Ascents in Armeos as Onsight by Lee Cujes

Actually very good despite being a slab. En route to the extension.

Burly start slab move - yeesh! And it's pretty damn easy to end up on the wrong route up the top. Felt like I climbed a couple before getting on the right one and going to the top.

Thought this was a great addition to the sector. The crux was NOT where I expected it to be. I believe I resembled a jellyfish thrown at a brick wall.

Onsighted something! Shock! Kieran's recommendation - surprised I hadn't done this earlier.

Easy to misread. Glad to come away with this one. Get in while the getting's good.

Big feature climbing up the mega-corner visible from Telendos! Rad.

En route to the extension. A tricky bulge.

Nice sequency climbing on pockets with a couple of damp/humid holds to keep you engaged. Easy to miss holds and make it harder than it has to be.

I thought the lower slab was tough!

Some good moves, but when you need to use a different colour line on the topo because its so squeezed amongst the neighbouring lines, meh, not a fan.

I’d say 6c+.

You have to be motivated for these chickenhead razor slabs.

Scramble access to the Path.

Super big fight. Did this crazy mantle to find ... no holds. Nothing. Was pawing on the rock like Stevie Wonder searching for the remote. Don't know how I managed to stay on. Replaced the anchor as well, which will shortly be going on climbkalymnos.com's new route maintenance database I built for them.

This is steady and sustained tufa and pocket climbing until the last bolt. Which I decided to skip, then blasted to the anchor to discover no clipping hold I bet there is a LOT of foiled onsights on this. Those moves are seriously hard. Interesting to see many holds were artificial.

The first time, I was doing 7a moves for sure. Then Sam flashed it and I copied her beta. Much easier, and more enjoyable.

A proper feature (big tufa pipe) but very squeezed in; therefore very easy to get off route. Very hard. Sketchy kneebars to the rescue.

Very new, and very few ascents. With good reason when you're surrounded with such quality.

Solid tufa action at the grade, feels much longer than it is. E nailed it today.

A bit runout and airy feeling, to a broccoli top section.

The finest climb of Kalymnos.

Acres of non-holds up a slightly off vertical wall. I was really happy to get up this. Harder for me to onsight than the 7c on Panorama for sure.

New route. Looooong tufa line. A little contrived down low as it shares some holds with the next route but overall very good. Kneebars.

Nice jetlagged first day ascent. Great line.

Needs a good clean and a rebolt, but generally, it's pretty good with an airy finish.

This is a great long warmup with a bit of everything.

Amazing at the grade, seriously. One of the best on the island.

Well this was a bit disappointing frankly. Tearing a flapper didn't help but the bolting was in part, illogical to the line of climbing, plus it needs more cleaning. Quite a lot of sharp rock still.

Nearly every hold is a huge jug but the route is mega pumpy. Full on sports action.

Again, nearly all jugs. Felt I climbed this really well. Could be easier than Houfta?

Perfectly continuous and absorbing with no definite crux. If only this route existed at every crag. The perfect pumper warm-up.

30m of tufa craziness. Pretty cool!

Looks absolutely amazing, like someone has poured smooth concrete down the wall, but with a handful of individual protruding horizontal stalactites to show the way.

A bit of everything. Bad feet at start, crazy top.

Closer to onsight than flash. Clips were in, I saw a french guy up there but I had no beta. 45m mega pitch.

Wandery, which I like. Varied and worth doing.

Hardest onsight fight in ages. 45m pitch, epic. 23 clips, I had 18 draws.

Bouldery start for sure! Then backs right off with super dooper jugs. Maybe the best holds ever?

One of my last to do on the sector. Hard start, then easy.

I put shoes on for this and was glad I did. Full on stemming, Azza would love it!

Quick sneaky ascent amidst the coaching. NOT a warmup.

Epic journey. 40m. Hard, with one section which is hard and has a potential ledge fall (very un-Kaly-like). Clipping the anchors could be a heartbreaker for a lot of people, I won't give it away. 70m rope works.

Worst house on the best street.

This was good. Tufa blobs, and then a crux up high.

Was happy to come away with this tough slab. Needed to pull hard and stay in the game.
