Ascents of Inti Raymi

First of the grade! Went down on first go of the day. Was probably over gripping after clearing the top boulder crux, I was giving it my all as I was determined to get to the top this time.

First redpoint attempt and got past the top boulder crux and into the good left hold tufa but fluffed it up by grabbing the draw! Where was my fight??

Worked the top boulder crux move but conditions are not good. I keep slipping off the small right hold

 

1. Putting the draws on. Builds nicely in difficulty to a desperate crux. Tried going right a few times but nails sequence and could get to the tufa or get the last draw in.

2. Went well up to crux then wrecked myself getting through it. Danny Paradorn looked way closer but heartbreaking finish!

So long and tough!!! Super cool moves the top is so hard! Couldn't quite figure out how to get the the first smaller tufa on the left, but probably will figure it out when I'm more used to this type of climbing

Super nice. 2nd go. Found the midway cruxy section harder than the top.

Surprise end of day send. Pretty unexpected considering how gripped and unfocused I was on the first two shots. Really nice endurance route with a fingery crux at the top.

Awesome long pitch, sensational climbing with a bowling ball hold!

First go, did the first crux and got into the final crux, I was very unsure of where to put my feet and fell off early on.

Fell at the first crux and then sat there for ages figuring it out because I didn't want to fall there again.

Got through the first crux.. just and rested my butt off before the second crux. Got through the crux, just. Then on the sloppey crimps, I had to talk to myself and calm my self down. I could just reach the crimp jug at the anchor... thank goodness its done great route!

While still reeling from the news last night that the 2.30 gyros shop is closing today and the family is moving to Melbourne, I managed to hold it together to get the tick. Sweet. Top felt super solid, but I managed to again fall of the easy middle section by getting lost.

Was going well putting the draws on, got to the second last bolt before grinding to a halt. Left of right at the top? After some prolonged dogging I choose right. Had a second shot but felt weak and blew it on the section to get to the rest at 3/4 height. Some nice Sydney gentlemen kindly removed my gear after getting the quick tick. I will also steal their sequence for the top. Win win.

First attempt at the grade. Cool line with a brutal crux.

2 boulder problems. Bottom one ok, then rest, then top one is at my limit. Doable I think.

Quick lap to get gear off. Owen and Andy did well.

Went up and down at the top before 'starfishing' through. Solid 7b+ I reckon.
