Ascents in Sasso Gabriel

I think this was the one I was on, as had no guidebook. Was good from half way though a bit dirty in places, but at least it wasn’t polished. Mucked up bouldery start to hidden hold.

Polished rubbish. Feet slipped numerous times and the bolts are spaced enough as is.

Nice crack/chimney. Felt difficulty for the grade.

Very nice moves from hole to hole. Wished we had more time to try and free this one.

Crux at the second/third bolt. After some strong moves it gets easier.

strange line and definitely hard for 5b. The first bolts have to be climbed to the right of the line, otherwise it is maybe 6a+ or 6b! (the actual line of the bolts seems un-graded) Then a lot of choss scrambling and at the end a nice little overhang.

ungradable and heinous! the first few meters are fine. Then, after arriving at some excrutiating, strange pockets, there are no holds in the bolt line, to the left there are sharp, un-used holds and a very hard move, while to the right the key foothold may fall off at any moment.

Crumbling and painful holds, loose rocks, and moves that feel more like 6b+
