Surprised myself on this, climbed to the bolt below the roof, looked up at the desperate crux and shit myself a little. Down climb retreated to warm up properly on fridays fool. Rap inspected the top section, and pre placed some gear on the way down to improve my odds of keeping my legs intact. Convinced I had a decent chance of survival I pulled the rope. The crux was desperate, I cut feet more times than I can count, some how scraped through and to my surprise the head wall climbed like a dream. Very inspiring line, radical climbing and beautifully aesthetic rock. What more could you ask for!

Followed Sleake up this thing. First real mixed route. Such a sick day out! The squeeze chimney, capping the finish, was awesome. Cant wait to get back on some more mixed stuff there.

Such a great route on very small holds! Had a lot of fun trying to send this. Great sequence. It's definitely harder than the other 21's at the crag by quiet a lot.

Bluebird day in the remarks! After Hilary superman'd it over the handlebars in the bike park a few days before it was always going to be a doubtful attempt but the legend hung in there and was keen for a crack at the GT. Decided to go full summer fast and light with the stubby crammed full of Panadol glucose and caffeine. Should've crammed in the steel because the GT still held a bit of snow and ice despite the recent warm weather. After reaching the helipad Hils was was less than thrilled at the prospect of taking on the steeper ridge as her first experience above 2000m and I was less than thrilled about descending the visibily snowy south col without adding an unplanned luge ride to the itinerary so we dipped out. Looking forward to round 2!
