Grade Route Gear style Quality
Sat 31st Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Boronia Point Ancient Mariner Buttress
21 Diana Ross Sport 15m Average
Bailed after assessing the inevitable ground fall on the throw move to the clipping jug (after I already climbed through the crux). Today is not my day (falling off everything)... But will tick this next time I'm at Boronia.

21 Cowboy Clip Sport 10m Good
Another lap. Easy for the grade if you're tall, but always fun.

Sat 31st Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Shipley Upper War Babies Wall
21 20 Scramble Syndrome Sport 20m Good
Repeat ascent. Climbed it clean 6 months ago. Spooged off a hold clipping the bolt in the crux, surprising both myself and my belayer with some airtime.

Sat 31st Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Shipley Upper Hot Flyer Wall
21 Girly Germs Sport 15m Good
Flew up the bottom section then spooged off the final crux section. Considering the lack of friction, I should've just thrown through the move rather than trying to static it. Definately a route worth getting on again.

19 Jack High Sport 20m Very Good
Enjoyable, but quite hard.

Fri 30th Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Medlow Bath The Sunbath
22 Just Boot It Sport 15m Good
Pumpy, and exciting, though probably not a 22. The awesome jugs will only last so long, so get on it quick! =P

Fri 30th Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Medlow Bath Reservoir Dogs
19 Stuck in the Middle with You Sport 38m, 15 Don't Bother
Hard for the grade, and rock is in extremely poor condition. The difficulty and the funky moves are for all the wrong reasons, I didn't enjoy this one at all.

21 Mr Orange Sport 38m, 17 Very Good
Great fun, but easy for the grade even when both pitches are done as a single giant pitch.

Tue 27th Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Megalong Valley Crags The Phoenix
20 Phoenix Trad 45m Don't Bother
Decided to aid climb it for a laugh (and some practice). 30min bush-bash walk in/out, and at least 60% of the crack is now covered in dense vegetation, which -over a 50m climb- is a lot of gardening. If the crack was clean, and a better way of accessing the crag found (the first ascentionist told me it's possible to walk to the top of the cliff), it would probably be a "very good" 2-star sort of climb. But as it stands NOW, you couldn't pay me to go back and free climb it.

Mon 26th Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount Piddington Eternity Area
19 18 The Eternity Trad 22m Classic
Another lap on this classic. Always a pleasure. Yours for eternity.

15 The Carthaginian Trad 33m Classic
Another lap on this classic (there are just so many at Piddo). Original lap 1.5 years ago was an onsight. Great climbing for the grade.

20 Neil Diamond Syndrome Sport 25m Very Good
Wow, really good. Probably to the grade (solely for the first move off the ground, and one rather reachy move further up), and awesome at that. Jump on it!

19 Judas-Messiah Connection Trad 35m Very Good
Not to hard or pumpy, but I found it quite scary. Stiched the poor climb to pieces with about 12 bits of gear. Definately worth a shot if you want to try one of the Blueys few good finger cracks.

Mon 26th Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount Piddington Flake Crack Area
8 Faith Trad 52m Good
I was bored waiting for the others to rope up, and it seemed like a good idea at the time.

21 Sincerity Direct Finish Sport 16m Very Good
Nooooooooooo... Had pulled the crux, was matching on the victory crimper before the last move to the anchors, walking my feet up the blank wall, and my right hand blew (friction failed) and off I went, leaving the skin of my fingers behind. Really cool moves!

Mon 26th Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount Piddington Eternity Area
17 Psychopath Trad 28m Very Good
Another lap up this classic. First lap a year ago was an onsight.

Sat 24th Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Mt Boyce Abseil Gully
10 Sweet Irish Trad 49m Average
Much more fun to do it as one giant pitch, made scarier by climbing it with only 6 bits of pro for the whole climb (including the 2 carrots I bothered to clip). Good climbing, on slightly average rock. Great position.

12 The Eyrie Mixed trad 45m, 3 Good
A bit of fun, and one of the better routes for the grade. Managed to get my 56 year old father up this one, and it's been a long time since HE climbed.

Sat 24th Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Mt Boyce Upper Wall
23 Watergate Sport 15m Average
The one hard move catches me by surprise. It's not the gaston, nor the bump... But the crossover that blows the onsight for me. Other than that, it's pretty easy for a 23, but worth a shot if you're in the area.

21 Vambrace Sport 15m Average
One of the easiest 21's I've done. It's nevertheless a fun climb.

Wed 21st Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Leura Sublime Point West Face (Main Area) Middle Cliffs Ben Trovato Wall
16 19 The Swiss Route (The Swiss Route Direct) Trad 88m Average
Scary in the wet. Not too pleasant, and weird anchors.

Wed 21st Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Leura Sublime Point West Face (Main Area) Middle Cliffs Binary Cave
21 Thirty Three Years Sport 15m, 7 Very Good
Very good and quite exciting. The crux is totally not where you think it will be, and is a nice little technical puzzle. It's a real shame I don't think that this climb will last, as it relies on a few key holds that may not last the distance. Get on it while you can!

12 Constipation Chimney Variant Start Trad 19m Average
Unremarkable, but not bad.

Wed 21st Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Leura Sublime Point West Face (Main Area) Middle Cliffs Theory of Negativity Wall
20 Theory of Negativity Sport 22m, 9 Good
Hard for the grade, but surprisingly good. It hides a classic sting in the tail to keep you working for it the whole way. Get on it!

Sat 17th Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Main Wall
23 Acceptably Cosmic Sport 10m Good
Too tired to get the tick. Soft for the grade, but don't underestimate the pump-factor.

23 Nev Herrod Sport 12m, 5 Good
So close on the onsight... Fell of the big crimpers 1 metre from the anchors. Too tired on my second shot to commit to the throw. Pretty fun on a short, steep bit of rock.

Sat 17th Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Porters Pass Dogs, Cats & Apples Wall
22 23 Dragon's Egg Sport 20m, 8 Very Good
Tough, sustained and tenuous crux... This one is totally worth another lap to get the tick.

20 19 Powerbra Rangers Sport 23m, 8 Very Good
Great climbing, lots of technical moves for the grade and definately worth another lap. Sustained.

20 Nice Vice Baby Sport 20m, 9 Average
Would be great if the rock was better. The crux is pretty cool though (and the only moves to the grade).

Fri 16th Dec 2011 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Boronia Point Main Wall (Ferris Cave)
23 Sprouts Mexicane Sport 15m Average
Awkward, pumpy and sharp, though almost entirely on jugs. The bolts are placed in some weird spots. I wouldn't get on it again, but the route certainly earns some points for being unique.

24 Sydney Rose Sport 12m Very Good
All the moves are dialled, I just need to get on it when I'm not tired. The bolt in the crux is incredibly hard to clip.

23 Lyptus Sport 23m, 8 Classic
I've ticked it before, but this lap I did the "dyno" to the sloper part of the jug... twice. Whoops. A bloody classic climb, worth a lap every time you're at this crag, though once you know the sequence it starts to feel soft for the grade.

Sun 11th Dec 2011 - Hospital Flat
The Main Cliff
17 Headbangers Arete Sport 20m, 5 Very Good
Awesome arete climbing. Everything you could want in a harder grade arete, but contained within 20m of grade 17 climbing (and a weird finish). Definately worth the effort of roping up! - No chalk and someone elses climbing boots.

13 Do I Have To? Sport 20m, 5 Average
Completely unremarkable. Warm up, I guess. - No chalk and someone elses climbing boots.

Sun 11th Dec 2011 - Hospital Flat
Tombstone Boulders The Engine Block
12 The Radiator Sport 15m, 4 Very Good
13 in the new guide. Awesome climb for the grade, as the book says: "Classic slab moves". - No chalk and someone elses climbing boots.

Sun 11th Dec 2011 - Hospital Flat
Tombstone Boulders The Tombstone
17 Fingers Columbia Sport 15m, 5 Very Good
Good fun. Reasonably sustained for the grade. I'm really struggling with identifying the good footers here. - No chalk and someone elses climbing boots.

17 18 Rusty Pins Sport 15m, 6 Good
Quite good. 17 is more on the money (the new guide says 18... Maybe for 1 move). Sustained at 17, but a nice short route. - No chalk and someone elses climbing boots.

17 The Crack Trad 15m Very Good
Would that I had the gear with me to lead it, but a crack this prominent couldn't be passed up, so a top-rope it is. The hardest moves are before the crack really starts, but the climbing is fun, so who cares! The overhanging 18 crack on the other side of Tombstone is better though! - No chalk and someone elses climbing boots.

21 20 Disco Inferno Sport 15m, 3 Very Good
Great fun. Tricky start to the first bolt, after that it's pretty straightforward. Fell on the first bolt on my first attempt, clean after that, and cruised it second shot. Other than the trad climbs here, this was the pick of the bunch in my opinion. - No chalk and someone elses climbing boots.

Sat 19th Nov 2011 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Cosmic County Area The Freezer
24 Good Big Dog Sport 22m Good
2 shots... All the moves go, but committing to the crimp sequence in the top 1/3rd is definately the crux for me. The moves to the anchors are sequency, but not too hard. It'll definately go next time.

22 Extension Lead Sport 20m Good
The start isn't as bad as difficult as it seems, and after that there is some interesting, thought-provoking climbing. A fun finish, as well.

22 SWALK Sport 25m Good
No single move -even the start- could be called a 22, but I certainly worked up a good pump before reaching the anchors.

20 Old Blobby Sport 25m Good
Not bad. Easy moves after the bouldery start... Just pumpy.

Sun 13th Nov 2011 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd The Dam Cliffs Creek Boulder
19 Enviro Vandal Sport 12m, 6 Average
Not much to say about this one. Different to the rest of the climbs in the area, I suppose.

Sun 13th Nov 2011 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd The Dam Cliffs Mossy Wall
10 Hesitation Sport 15m Good
It's a way to climb out.

Sun 13th Nov 2011 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd The Dam Cliffs Wet Feet Area
17 Wet Feet Sport 14m Good
A bit of fun, though hard for the grade. Managed to drop my sunglasses into the water, though.

Sun 13th Nov 2011 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd The Dam Cliffs Steep Wall
17 Ted Turd-Tossa Sport 8m, 2 Good
Short, but a bit of fun.

19 Little Diego Sport 12m, 4 Good
Short, but a bit of fun. If it was significantly longer it's be great fun.

14 Alone in a Sea of Bolts Trad 12m Average
The guide is right: it's not worth bringing a rack for. But it was a laugh.

19 22 Vasco Pyjama Sport 12m, 4 Good
Bloody oath, 1 single strangely hard move amongst a lot of easy moves.

22 21 Friendly Fire Sport 12m, 4 Good
Definatley not 22. Hardly even 21, as per the new guide.

18 Stormin Norman (Stormin Normin) Sport 12m, 4 Good
Not bad.

16 The Sisters of Fatima Sport 12m, 5 Good
Another lap. Not bad for the grade.

18 A Tale of Two Cities Sport 12m, 7 Good
Not bad.

19 Lonely Thursday Sport 12m Good
Fun for the grade. A few cruxy moves.

22 19 Sloper for Saddam (Slopers for Saddam Direct Start) Sport 15m, 3 Good
Definately not 22 with the direct start. Maybe an easy 20-ish? Like everyone else here, I thought the direct start was the original route. Still fun, though.

20 Aonang Aonang Sport 12m, 3 Good
Contrived if you want to follow the line of bolts (traversing out right, then back again, then right a bit), but not a bad climb on its own... Just superceded by the climbs on either side of it.

Mon 7th Nov 2011 - Point Perpendicular
Bayside Hello Dolly Wall
18 Hello Dolly Sport 30m, 9 Very Good
07 May 2011.

Sun 6th Nov 2011 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Shipley Upper Sandwiches Wall
24 Pallets of Pies Sport 12m, 4 Good
3 more shots today, 6 in total now... Not moving forward, just hitting the wall on the one hard move of the climb. Can land the crux 1 in 3 shots, but never linked the whole thing.

Sat 5th Nov 2011 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount York Deep Freeze Area
11 Second Thoughts Trad 25m Average
Laybacked the easy crack to get to the upper section, rather than using the face holds (or the fixed rope). Free solo?

19 18 Uncle Amy (Arete on ring bolts) Sport 16m, 6 Good
18 in the new guide. Some really fun moves for the grade.

20 Deep Freeze Sport 18m, 11 Very Good
Surprisingly good, though some average rock. Really sustained for the grade and all styles of climbing over the 20m of its length.

Sat 5th Nov 2011 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Bardens Lookout Little Triggers Wall
17 16 Karinya Sport 25m, 7 Good
Not bad. There are better climbs on either side of it, though.

18 Jolly Good Fellow Sport 25m, 9 Very Good
For an easy grade climb, this is quite fun.

19 Little Triggers Sport 25m Very Good
Quite sustained for a 19... A great deal of climbing for 25m or so.

19 20 Go Lotto Sport 22m, 7 Good
Mostly fairly easy, but a hard move near the bottom, and an reasonably challenging one at the top. The lower crux seemed to be giving a lot better climbers than me quite a bit of trouble.

22 Hang onto Yourself Sport 20m Good
Climbing to the first 3 bolts is fun, challenging and scary... After that it's a bit cruisy. Still took me 2 shots to commit to the crux.

Wed 2nd Nov 2011 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Logan Brae Main Cliff
22 Room With a View Sport 15m Good
A fun headwall sequence, really only 2 moves for the grade. Just too tired (and dark) for the tick today... Next time...

23 Elastic Analysis Sport 12m, 5 Good
An embarrassing number of shots before the tick (4). Good fun, but very smooth rock.

Blackheath Area Centennial Glen Wave Wall
24 Jaqueline Hyde Sport 15m, 6 Very Good
3rd October 2011. One of my favourite climbs on this wall. Soft for the grade, but simply brilliant climbing. Technical, delicate slab leads to some awesome moves and a stance, followed by easy roof and steep jugging. Great!

Fri 30th Sep 2011 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Pierces Pass Lunch Ledge
14 Darkside Mixed trad 110m, 10 Good
Sometime late 2011. Great first pitch (led by No-Chalk Rob). Every pitch after that manages to be worse than the pitch preceding it.

August 2011. Brilliant. Had no troubles with the bouldery start, but fell once and rested once on the same move in the middle of the climb.
