Tianjara Falls Indian Head (north) Beat Up and Thrown Out Sector
26 | ★★ Sleep Drifter | 20m, 12 | ★★ Very Good
Had to see why Dylan was so eager to get me back to this area. Fantastic headwall with powerful crimping and a thought provoking crux. A sweet addition to this sector.

Blackheath Area Shipley Upper Grand Junction Wall

Fell on the crux and the last move. Worth going back for i think.

Thompson's Point Vine Wall
24 | ★★★ Spank The Donkey | 22m | ★★ Very Good
Wanted to spank the donkey, but the donkey spanked me. I underestimated just how bald that badger would be. Probably not the best idea to try this one in the sun on a hot day if you want to tap that sweet ass.

Thompson's Point Descent Gully Walls
21 | ★★ Maddest Hatter | 8m | ★ Good
The climbing on this short pitch felt just okay although the entire experience of the exposure and the position and the most bizarre feeling of multi-pitch climbing in Nowra all adds up to a great time.
We could not stop laughing about how desperate the slopey crux move felt. Both having our feet swing away from the wall. I could have shit myself with excitement at that moment trying to squeeze water from that rail with the thought of swinging into the ledge below. Worth noting that theres and obvious jug at the start with cracks all around the block its on. We chose to skip it entirely. |

Tianjara Falls Drop bear wall

Glad i got on this. Definitely worth it. Fell at the crux.

The Gold Mine Cafe Cruiser Wall
20 | ★★★ Café Cruiser | 30m, 10 | ★★ Very Good
The use of extendables on this wall are really helpful, although negated by the run out on this one where you wouldn't want to extend the crux draw bc of ledge below.

Tianjara Falls Drop bear wall
23 | ★★ Roo Rot | 22m, 14 | Average
Fell off at the 8th bolt. The stars and reviews attracted me but i didn't get the experience others wrote about. Felt like the asteroid belt never ended and i never found the classic sequence. The description is spot on but its not my cup of coolade.

The Grotto Cliffline The Hood Area
27 | ★★★ Funky Gripsta - with Matt Mellor | 20m, 9 | ★★ Very Good
Took a while to get the moves but I've finally experienced clipping the chain. Feels so burly. I thought getting the moves done felt good but it was nothing compared to watching Matt try to swing off a near by boulder on the rope with too much slack and smash himself into the sand hahahahaha!!!

Central Area | ||||||
20 | ★ Thomas the Tank | 10m, 6 | ★ Good
Thought i'd try a dyno after seeing Lauchy do it... not my style hahaha bumped off a sloper to gain good hold

Stonehaven | ||||||
22 | ★★★ Trixie’s Ton | 18m, 8 | ★★ Very Good
Fell at the small pockets, did some pondering and then found it easier to skip them. Really nice climbing on the best rock i touched that day.

Middle Curtain | ||||||
22 | ★★★ AP32 | 20m, 6 | ★★★ Classic
RIDE THE PONY!!! Only pulled through the moves on this one as Pat sent it first go after working the moves on previous sessions and neither of us wanted to wait around for me to do the same even know the route is definitely worth the effort. The novelty of sitting on the horn at half way before the crux is worth climbing the route.

Iron Curtain | ||||||
24 | ★★ The Bastard from Gunn Rd | 20m, 10 | ★ Good
Insight failed trying to stay last of the fifth bolt for the 24 grade. It seems someone has added a bolt just above the slab at the start so that would now make it bolt 6. Staying left seems sand bagged and i never pulled through the moves. Climbed through the 23 variant which to me seems like the obvious and better line, definitely nicer climbing.

Two working runs. Spent most of the time just playing around with the heel hook, it just didn't feel natural and took a while to gain confidence moving off it. Will try a red point next sesh
