Ascents in Oceania as Flash by Ben Hanley

retro-flash. 2nd attempt after about 5-6 years with absolutely no recollection of the route. really did a pretty poor effort on the first few bolts and did not use my feet well at all, but managed to rest enough to get through the remainder of the route.

first flash at the grade. easy climbing getting to a very bouldery crux section, with good rests and easier climbing above.

can't truly claim the onsight when i've climbed the crux as part of another route. A good link-up, not quite as good as captain kurko but similar difficulty

pretty spicy for the grade. Mostly decent gear, but often quite spaced out. Even after having rapped down it beforehand while descending from Thunder Crack and checking out some of the gear, it still felt pretty stiff.

Felt somewhat bold for the grade with spaced bolting. I think I strayed a few times into the route to the left but just couldn't see any other holds that looked OK for the grade. Interesting technical face climbing throughout.

Bit of a one move wonder getting out the arete. Very engaging!

tricky crux to a fun upper wall. Saw a couple of ways to not do the crux before attempting it myself.
