Ascents in Hatun Machay by Kelly

Nice lead by Damon, literally racing up there as the mist rolled in and rain started to fall. Last climb at Hatun Machay

I´d been working up the courage to climb this route since I first came to Hatun Machay. Totally burned out on the relentless overhang but stoked to finish! I´ll have to come back... with more muscles

Soft for the grade but pretty honeycomb rock and nice views.

Didn´t want to pull the rope for a lead due to boggy ground, nice climb though

Fun pumpy beginning with overhanging jugs. Would not reccommend climbing in the La Heladeria area though unless you are into belaying from bogs and muddy ropes

Perhaps an ambitious last climb of the day , theres one cheeky serrated finger pocket - watch out! Would be nice to do fresh

Probabloy my favourite climb of the week - a wicked chimney-funnel thing! Bolts are sparse enough to give you elvis legs

Was excited for this climb, until a hold crumbled on the overhang after the first bolt. Naturally I shat myself and retreated - no stars!

Soft for the grade, nice climb but lacking a crux, not worth the stars

This climb was gross! Climb the dirty water funnel thing next to the bolts before crossing onto the face at the end. Handholds are dirty, feet are dirtier, but somehow it all held. I´d rather eat pee sorbet than climb this again!

This climb deserves a couple of stars, we jumped on it as it shares an anchor with the 6a adjacent. It was glorious! Sidepulls, underclings and surprisingly bomber finger pockets. Tronsighted like a champion, don´t ask me to lead it though, I might poop myself !

Like climbing golden honeycomb, this climb was sweet! Apparently 15m was too much for my aerobic system though

Much more interesting than the 5+ adjacent, follow the crack!

This anchor is the worst! Set 40cm higher than the last handholds (a sloper and gross one finger pocet) on a featureless wall, it must be some sort of sick tall person joke. Therefore I used the anchor as the last hold and am claiming the onsight :p

Another great climb. Tricky start that moves to layback then into easy face climbing with a dynamic finish. Awesome!

Great climb! The boulder/traverse at the start really makes it!

Good way to defrost those fingers!

Meh, might be good for teaching people to lead.
