Ascents in Zucchini Wall as Onsight

Very fun start!

First outdoor onsight on lead.

Great to start with chimney, proceeding to traverse into some good exposure on Zucchini wall and then climbing to the top, where you can see oceans on both sides. Incredibly beautiful spot.

Desperate crimps 👌

Vertical crimpfest. Absolutely loved it. Eases off towards the end.

Kind of found this easier than Zucchini. But similarly hard at the start and eases off past the third bolt.

It is hard to rate this route in terms of quality. You start with this funky wide chimney that you're inside, then top out (which detracts I guess) and traverse out on the face of the route spoons. For me I think it is a great route because 1) its super fun 2) it has different styles on it (which I like in this case) 3) it uses the chimney which is uncommon and cool and 4) it is a clever way to get a softer route in there which still uses the face of zuccini wall. Put it this way - out of all the routes in the area, its a must do.

Possibly the king line of the area (except perhaps coffee break) with a big beautiful clean face visible from the highway that climbs using interesting little flakes (that feel solid to me) and divots. Funky volume near the ground that makes it quite fun. One of my proudest onsites.

Crux is not as hard as Zucchini, but the whole route is consistently difficult.
