The Rose
To find this boulder, climb the steep steps up Steenberg peak, 30m after the top of the stairs take a L at a small white block. Head diagonally up L making for the base of a small crag capped by overhangs on the skyline. Stroll around the corner along the ledge at the base of this crag, this brings you to two boulders; the first is a very clean-cut square block leaning at an impressive angle. [The rail along the face of this is a pumpy warmup, just don't sit down on the phallus below the right end!]. The next boulder is a more rounded formation, scramble up between the two to arrive at the Rose Boulder. |
