Ascents in Punta Espadelles having Beta

this was a good introduction to Margalef climbing.

I don’t say this often , but I didn’t enjoy quality of this route. Boulder start felt very awkward & afterwards, although scenery looks beautiful, quality of the rock wasn’t so great, crumbly and dusty.

The route is 6c+ (not 6b+)in the guidebook and felt like that. Nice moves but very bad rock quality.

Working.. The crux is kind of complicated and hard to memorize. Unnecessarily hard clip (if quick draw is not in) after easy runout on top. Seems hard for the grade.

Very nice and flowy, but the top is hard to clip if this is near your onsight limit.

Okay route, but quite uneven and a bit hard for the grade.

My first 7a! So happy about it! The first part is tricky but you can take a nice rest in the second bolt, on the right. Then, all direct and constantly until the 5th bolt, where you have to rest once again. Then until the overhanging part, where taking the final rest is crucial because then the crux is handleable if you are fresh. The final part is easy enough.

Nice first attempt being able to go through the first bolt comfortable, but at the 4th bolt I got too pumpy and I fell. Then I needed to take a rest before the overhanging but I could handle the whole thing afterwards, even the overhanging part.

The 6a+ is on the beginning where the feet are a bit invisible, the rest is pretty doable.

A weird start, from the first to the second bolt, and a similar ending to the anchor. A not so easy 6b but doable.

Another good one at Espadelles.

7a+ in the guidebook. Felt harder than the 7b to the left.

Put the draws in for James to give a send go

Boulder problem to start followed by some enjoyable climbing and an easier overhang to cross to get to the anchor.

Loved it, really sustained without a defined crux, mainly on pockets

Cool route. Just gave it one try as I freaked out about the distances at the top. Need to come back!

A lot easier after the start.

Vía de resistencia con una crux difícil de ver a vista pero relativamente fácil una vez sabes cómo hacerlo. El problema es más que nada aguantar la resi del principio y encontrar descansos. Ojito con la placa del final,es bonita pero tensa también.

Vía en la que no puedes perder la concentración ni un segundo. Última vía del día, ya no me da la cabeza para aguantar esa tensión.

El principio es más fácil que el de sus vecinas, pero las últimas chapas son más tensas. Muuuuy bonita

Me caigo en el primer pegue por no encontrar el cazo para salir del desplome . Más dura para bajos 🤏👩.

Placa fina buenisima, parecia q no encadenaba nada en Margalef y última via último pegue sonó la flauta

Un buen ratete para sacar los pasos entre la primera y la segunda chapa. Dificil a vista y buen pete de antebrazo.

Joder qué pete más tonto 😅 muy buena.
