Spicy route, in windy conditions. Slipped in two spots, moves were insecure but that’s the fun of it!

Abbed off after the first pitch of the second half. Did not want to, but have to admit my leading was slow due to negotiating some properly dodgy rock, route-finding (no description other than Steve’s below plus conflicting topos), therefore we were getting fried in the heat. Partner terrified by the tension traverse and never quite recovered. To top it all off, atrocious walk/off – finding the abseil point to the foot of it felt like a miracle.

Amazing sustained route; very technical with some powerful sections. Took a good whipper on the 2nd pitch. Tom was so close to onsighting P3 too. Route could be done on trad, would be absolutely wild. I believe the old guide originally graded this significantly harder when first climbed on gear before it was retro-bolted. The Rockfax guide also overestimates the lengths of the pitches. they are closer to 35m long thereabouts. Belays and pitches are well bolted, semi-hanging, but not rigged to abseil if I remember correctly.

Fully engaging from the moment you pull on. Could only count on one hand the amount of times I pulled on a jug.
