Description

"Ravinen" is a fairly long ravine that is divided into two parts by two large boulders hanging in the middle of the ravine. Most routes are boulted with some partly bolted routes. Some routes take a fair bit before they dry up while some dry fairly quickly.

All routes require a rappel to be able to set a top rope, there is a rappel anchor a bit above the "Ingela" anchor which can be seen from the ground.

Access issues inherited from Ågelsjön

Naturreservat, nature reserve. Check the rules displayed on the billboard at the parking.

Approach

From the dirt parking lot, follow the orange hiking trail on the right side. Follow the hiking trail past the gravel road and approximately 40m into the woods the trail splits, and take the left path. Follow the trail for a couple of minutes and you will see the "Östblocket" on the right where the ravine starts. The first route in the ravine belongs to the "Östblocket" topo.

Descent notes

All routes have bolted anchors or are close to one, use those to descend.

Grade Route

One of the easiest bolted sport routes in Ågelsjön on big holds. This route can also be used to put a top rope for both "Ragnarök" and "To bult or not to be".

FA: Kalle Eriksson, 2018

Two-bolt in the beginning then own gear up to the anchor.

FA: F Schlyter, 1991

Should have a bolt in the start which it shares with "Frittfall" but I could not see it (2023-09-01)

FA: F Schlyter, 1990

Starts as "Ragnarök" and goes up to the same shelf as "Felicia". It should have 2 bolts in the beginning but one seems missing. Dirty(2023-09-01)

FA: F Schlyter, 1991

One of the best routes in ågelsjön for its grade. Great climbing on good holds, a bird has built a nest some years on the shelf in the middle of the route.

FA: C Johnson, 1992

Could be classified as a mixed route since it will be a bit runout in the end without an extra placement.

FA: F Schlyter, 1992

FA: F Schlyter, 1992

FA: M Carsten, 1992

FA: L Lindley, 1995

Harder than it looks like but really fun and long for this side of Ågelsjön. Fully bolted 2019

FA: K Johansson, 1993

One bolt in the end on the slab.

FA: J Rasmussen, 1993

Unclear where this line goes after the creation of "Din typ av klättring". The most logical is clipping the 3 first bolts and then continuing slightly to the left when "Din typ av klättring" goes right to the 4:th bolt. Go up to the next crack where a piton is visible and then up to the anchor.

FA: P Karlsson, 1993

Very even climbing, is very wet after rain.

FA: Sandra Eriksson & Michael von Schickfus, 2019
