Kind of contrived as it climbs up that tufa and then suddenly veers left, lucky I got a tip to go left instead of straight up, would have been a better climb if it climbs straight but apparently quite hard as not much holds.

Cool, diverse, long. Solid warmup.

Once more, for toproping.

Quite technical in the middle, overhanging finish.

Cool technical climb.

The approach was harder than this.

Sequency

Gave the 7a+ extension a shot. I had a hard time figuring out the beta, so I long-handed myself from bolt to bolt. It was too hot for a second try, but I think I can do this. Note to self, this is how: For the move away from the anchor, use the reachy, right-hand sidepull, pinch the tufa on the left, put the right foot up and t(h)rust. From the huge undercling, use the small ledge as a left-hand sidepull, make sure the right foot is a bit higher than the ledge, then press the left foot against the tufa. Bad crimp right, sloper left, feet higher, into the good hold on the right (leave the pinky out: less painful). Egyptian high enough to get into the undercling/shoulder pull thing pinch the small tufa with the tight, reach to the rescue jug on the left.

This must have been the hardest 7a+ I did here so far. But maybe the hellish rope drag was also a factor. I'd highly recommend putting a 60cm draw in the last bolt before the middle anchor, and unclipping the one after it as soon as possible.

Cruxy

The crux is harder for smaller people, I did a long reach. After sending, I checked out an alternative beta without the long reach, which was slightly harder.

I went dynamic to the slot. That was tight, luckily precise and subtle. Then a funky aftermove or two. Thanks Kiki.
