Ascents in Alabalık

Probably the hardest climb I've tried to date. Starting to feel close

2 tries today, I am a punter, fell of the easiesh move in the middle because I wasn’t dynamic enough, should have gotten the send. Next time.

An unexpected send when I didn’t feel like climbing today and definitely a good one at that. Power endurance route with lots of cruxes. 2 boulder problems coming out of the roof leads to Sustained crimping and some Technical moves. A perfect end to 2020. Too many days on for climbing. Looking forward to a rest day tomorrow when it’s raining.

Oooooh this is cool! 3 tries. Felt impossible first go, then on did it in 1 hang on my third. The headwall is definitely the hardest bit for me. Reckon it should go in better conditions. Reckon it must have been the sweatiest day of climbing here yet.

Yaaaaaay 🥳 what a route! Honestly so much fun. 3rd go today, 1 to put the draws in, one to fall off the last move, and one to finish it. Did some weird top out beta at the end. Very glad not to drop there.

What a class route! Put the draws in to warm up, then fell going for the long move to the slot. Then spent ages figuring new beta for the top section. Third go managed to fall just before the finishing jug whilst absolutely exhausted and in the dark. Pretty confident that it'll go next session now we'll see though. Definitely enjoying it - tho the top is pretty skin intensive.

Your fingers need to be really strong for this route. Boulder at the entrance, later rest and a little boulder. Same fingerboard training 😄

Crimpy

lizzard in the hole, so happy there was space for both my hands and you. A few desperate slaps later, psyched:D Super good line, not the easiest on the go:)

Overhang

Rad moves broken up by rests. Not 7c+

Cruxy

The crux itself is pretty hard, but the challenge for me here is having the endurance to put it all together. That aside, I can totally do all the moves. The vertical part in the beginning is technical and hard to read but if I just do it right, it should be fine. For moving out of the overhang, I'll have to reach really far and trust that the bad hold is enough. After that, it's a confusing zic-zag, but not that hard, except for the rope drag... so put long draws everywhere, and a ~50cm one at the crux.

This attempt went much better than before. I'm really optimistic now! The lower part went smoothly, but still more exhausting than it should be. I first rested in the middle of the roof, and once more right before the crux move.

This time, I also extended the fixed draw, which helped a lot to reduce drag. Using my panic draw to clip the crux seems to be the best way to go.

Second shot after falling of the crux down low. The rest was alright and very gymnastic style of climbing. Cool sequences and you can get a knee bar in the cave too.

Finally!

Hard

It was getting dark and I just put the draws in the first half for another go tomorrow

Came to the overhang and discovered that an entire hold is covered by a swallow's nest and you basically cannot climb the route like this anymore :-(

There were quickdraws in, so I gave it shot. Couldn't do the move after the fourth bolt.

Guidebook says 7a, feels really hard for the graded especially the first crux and then the second crux at the top and big moves on average/no feet towards the end.

One crux at the start and then 2 caves to rest in before a final crux that is super tricky. Nice line. Shares the same anchor and finish as the 6b+ next to it.
