Ascents in Black Rocks

Good Golly, best learn how to jam before attempting this one again.

It is best to be climbed with double ropes. Otherwise, rope drag will be an issue. Felt very exposed, but it was well protected throughout. Large cams were very helpful.

Possibly the best pitch on the wall. Well protected.

This joyful little romp is certainly not hvs and certainly not bold

Warm up done with below ascents on 28/9/09

EOD seconding Jenga in a speed ascent of it before all the shops closed and we were left without food for dinner. Traversy fun, with a horribly thrutchy crux off width which results in some funky body positions, and tough sloper finale. Worthwhile.

Run in run out ascent. We were in a rush (to get food) so a speedy lap was had. Pretty easy but the wide spot was a bit thrutchy, climbed via the direct finish. Good fun but a little dirty and sandy, maybe the first lap this season.

Pity it was not longer. Tuze led.

Was left out of first ever guide as it was deemed 'Unjustifiably dangerous'.I was inspired to do it by the 'Hard Grit' video'. It gets hard at the top of the crack.
