Ascents in England by Fernando Hidalgo

Nice route but overrated. The place is amazing but there are better ways up this great slide. Glen led P1&2 (linked) and 5. I led 3&4 (linked).

Awesome route.

Fell a couple of times in the crux. Footholds at the crux are polished. I needed to save some juice for what it comes afterwards as it is not easy. Hard on the grade. Led most of it. with Glen Stidevee

Second pitch is interesting.

Good moves but hard to know what is in and what's not.

I think I traversed to high so it was quite hard.

It suppose to be a warm up...

Big fall at the crux. It requires more stamina.

Beautiful route. Very popular though.

One rest at the crux. Ignore the small pockets, just focus on the feet and use the medium size pockets/handholds.

It felt harsh, specially the traverse at the top. Maybe next time go straight up.

Weird route with some interesting moves.

Worked it a couple of times. I need more stamina.

Scary. The beginning sets you in the wrong mindset for the rest of the route. The quality of the rock is terrible at the beginning, dubious in the mid and ok at the top. Took a longer than expected.

A cracking route

First attempt after a year without trying I fell at the top just before the easy handhold (that I didn't know it was there). Second I attempt I sent it quite smoothly. Very happy. Second 7a.

Confusing but good route. Probably the easiest in the crag.

Really good route. It didn't feel hard for the grade. It seems that I have done it before but I can't remember.

Really good route... but I got a bit scared!

Fell at the top. I got a bit confused as I didn't read the guidebook and I didn't know if I should go left or right. Tried right and it was quite hard so I fell again. Tried left again and it felt easyish after knowing the moves.

Hard for the grade and reachy. 6a+? Start is confusing in the Rockfax guide. The start is in the arete, and from there rightwards.

Hard. Crimp feels impossible.

The more I do it the more I like it.

A poor route poorly bolted. Best to ignore except you like smearing, dynamic moves and a combination of both... In a 5+

It felt harder with the cold.

Tricky if you don't know how to finger/hand jam.

I did 2nd and 3rd pitches together. I went left on the third pitch to spice up things.

It is ok after you get the right sequence.

Led P1 only as I left P3 for my friend Luis to enjoy. Found P1 quite scary, the first 5-8mts without much protection. I have seen that lots of people uses the flake at the top of P1 for belaying. Wondering for how long that flake will stay there...

Only the first section is worth it, then it is a bunch of loose and grassy stuff. I went to the top as I didn't fancy the abseil from some small bushes.
