Ascents in Peak District by Jim Croft having trad-cpr or ascent-date

Avoided first crux, managed top thin crux. Guido led with avoidences and side runners.

Guido led,I would try this as a first delicate, but bold E2 lead. A mat might help.

Joe Brown route and 5b. One of those you can do or you can't.

Traversed left at half height, placed side runner and then traversed back in and led through. One hard move above gear to side, prob HVS with side runner.

Guido and I found an easier sequence than Tuze who climbed left, harder his way.

Seconded as far as Bower, then abbed off as it was going dark.

Finaly on something other than Grit. Was drizzling, so we toproped 3 routes at Stoney Middleton

Feet were slipping about at start and fell off. Rested and quickly back on and led to top without further mishap.

One rest below 1st vertical crack due to selecting wrong cam and generally buggering around. Pissed off to have blown onsight as I found it OK after.

Tuze did a harder way than Guido and I.

Soft touch for tall people.

Curving crack to arete, made exciting climbing in the blizzard.

Offwidth, take a 5 camalot.

Joe Brown climb. Very scared after crux. Should be renamed One Pebble Slab, I used the one remaining pebble to do a thumb press with to do the crux.

Found it easy for HVS, took the harder LH finish.

Would of been VS in the past. Now getting very slippery.

Tough, only gets VS in Rockfax guide. I suppose you could call it a VS that is hard.

One of the best climbs I have ever done. It is a great line.

Still found the narrowing bit hard. Encouraged when climbing legend Al Burgess comes over and tells me he finds that bit hard too.

A Joe Brown climb, intimidating to look at. Really enjoyed seconding it, would be about the top of my leading ability at the time I did it.

Led, then Kirk led on my gear , so I seconded it as well, doing left hand start second time.
