Ascents in Dartmoor

Maybe soft for the E2 grade as the protection is excellent, but slightly spaced. Excellent burley moves. Had a go on second cleaning.

Hardest trad ascent to date. I think the E2 grade sticks but it’s consensus more of a 5C than 6A.

Really cool jamming in the crack, felt pretty desperate!

A grade harder because wet, a grade easier because crack gloves, a stiff battle overall, even though we’re just back from grit. What ultimately matters, though, is that I got the onsight and I’m officially the jamming master!!!!

Awkward beginning to P1. Going up the crack on P2 is fun, albeit short-lived.

Awkward start to p1, p2 in the dark with flashlights and the moon. A lot of fun. (Radios would have been good.)

This will test your route reading skills. Hard and technical for the grade, and difficult but rewarding traversing up an unlikely line.
