Ascents of Gill Crack

as a trad climb

Eventually got every move on top rope. Kinda addictive. You can fall out of this thing so easily. Could see myself sending with more project time. Can't believe John Gill did this in boots or something back in the day!

Might be 5.12a with the beta and gear sussed, but for the onsight placing the gear this 7m crack is desparate 5.12b. After falling off the start a few times, I managed to 1-sit the ground-up of this crack boulder-problem as I struggled to find/place gear from rubbish slippery locks and no feet. At the point where this line joins Black Crack , I knocked out my only piece of gear that protected a groundfall, and had to backtrack on link to replace it and continue on. Cool in a bouldery sort of way
