Ascents in Summit Rock

Pro: DMM #4 (2.5-3.9"), Camalot #3(2.1-2.9"), FlexCam #3 (.67-.96"), FlexCam #5 (x2) (1.06-1.61"). Undercling the roof, then mantle, then follow the finger crack near the arete to 2-bolt anchors. Use a long sling to girth hitch a big hole before the finish to redirect the rope from the crack. ss

Solo lead using a gri-gri.

Tricky 1st and 2nd clip for the short person. pb.

variation: (1) set TR on Ribbed For Comfort anchors and climb using the finger crack left of Wide Crack. ss

The arete to its right can be TR from the same anchor and is a much better route, 5.11+.

variation: (1) start; use the thin crack and layback to the bolt. finish; use both left & right crack at the top to go up the face. ss
