Ascents in Fossil Falls

Took a while to determine which start seemed correct. Was positive that the left crack went up until finding a hidden pocket on the right line just over the bulge. I'll try to finish it this December.

Found the boulder thinking there wasn't much on it, and then walked around the corner and saw this line. Looks sick and hard! I didnt have time to work on it because the top holds were soaking wet due to rain, which is why I call it the Stormrunner project. It should go down next time.

Saw this and had to try it. Sightly scary topout but nothing terrible. One of the best climbs in Black Planets

Plenty of ways to climb this one since there are a lot of similar holds.

Did it in a few goes. I pulled one of the starting holds off, but the grade is still the same.

Saw this a few days ago but didn't have a chance to get on and try. Definitely fun and a great warmup.

Quickly found a nice sit start using a right side pull, and, and part of the arete with the left hand. Pull up, grab an awkward pinch hold with the left. Go to higher side pulls out right. Get in a good position and grab the sloper pinches near the lip, and then go for either a small crimp up high that you can't see, or a side pull pocket towards the right. Never got past this but only had 5 minutes to try it. Oh well. Probably around V4 or V5.

Amazing climb. Easy, but requires some focus towards the top.

Found the sit start, and underestimated it haha. After pulling up using the small crack, my left foot kept slipping off the rock.

Tried again and got past the sit using a right toe hook, and then grabbed a diagonal sloper side pull hold left. My left hand slipped as I went for the large pocket.

Found a better hold an inch or two above the diagonal sloper. It is a 3 finger sloper dish that feels really reassuring. I got the pocket on this try and toped it out.

Freezing cold and at night, but was still fun to try. Definitely not an easy 5.12.

Finished it today. I used slightly different beta. Instead of spreading myself wide, i used this sideways slope crimp to change footing, gain a higher sidepull with my left hand, and reach for a small incut crimp with my right. The last move is a far reach or dyno to the lip.

Scary doing it in the dark. Took a big fall but got it on my second try.

Possible FA, but it could have been climbed before. Pretty short but also fun. Started with a high step and balanced using a left sidepull and a right pocket. Grabbed some positive holds near the lip and toppes out.

Managed to find a good sit start by hugging the miniature prow using slopers/sidepulls. Stay tight and grab a crimp right of your left hand. Then grab another crimp out left. Reposition the right hand where the left hand was. This is where I couldn't link the bottom with the top. From here I tried to throw a big move to the large pinch rail but its hard. Standing at the pinch rail I got to the lip, but wasn't able t throw myself over the lip. Left shoulder was hurting.

The sit start has a sharp hold, but other than that the holds are very nice on the hands. Isn't very hard, but I really enjoyed the moves, especially the crux move which is a high reach to the arete.

Did it 3rd try! Super fun with positive topout holds.

Did it with David and had to do a sketchy jump to the lip since Im on the shorter side. Super fun! Second time I've done it

Quick ascent with my parents. The mantle at the top is definitely the hardest part. The holds are sharp too.

Got it right after Dave nearly flashed it in the dark. Rough crimps but overall a fun climb.

Really short climb and pretty difficult but its over quickly.

Second time climbing this one so exciting at the top.

So so difficult since I'm short. The ledge is just out of reach so I have to do a mini hop stretch.

Wasn't expecting to flash this one.
