Ascents in Montana as Send

Took me a while to figure out where the line goes. Flows really well once you know where to go, although some moves felt a bit reachy. Stiff for the grade, as seems to be the standard at this boulder field.

Got it on the very last go of the day, had basically given up. Very satisfying to send a proper 5 in my current state.

Probably a bit soft using a heel?

A bit soft for a 4 in this area IMO, although all the Castle Hill mantle training probably helped.

Approx. 5 attempts. Not easy for the grade!..

Favorite boulder problem in MT so far and probably anywhere for that matter. An absolute must climb at that grade. Just tall enough to make the mantle finish exciting but luckily the true crux is down low. Approx. 5 attemtps.

Went down 2nd go today, pretty smoothly. Approx. 15-20 attempts total. Suits my weight class nicely as it pays to be light when nearly campusing those bad holds...

5 attempts. A lot easier than Center O. and the grading feels pretty consistent.

So psyched to get this absolute beauty of a problem! 3rd attempt today, approx. 10 attempts total.

Stand start is also cool and goes at V3/V4.

Done with a high hand-heel match, as usual...

Proper V4... Physical and technical... a full-body workout.

#2ndGo Likely has seen some ascents although I couldn't find any info anywhere. Felt about V4ish. Cool problem that deserves to be in the guide books.

Harder than it looks, with a very tricky mantle top-out.

Start is super contrived. Hard to know what's in vs. out.

#2ndGo but had the dyno pretty dialed already. Good heel game and crimp strength are essential. Undeniably suits my style.
