Ascents in Beauty Mountain having Beta

Wow, this was quite the journey. Takes you through a chimney, cruxy overhang, fairly enjoyable crack, gnarly chicken wing, and steeeeeep finish. Forgot to breathe for the last 5 mins. Mega! Took so much out of both of us that we packed up and went for a swim in the New lol

Cool wavy bulby scoopy features on this one. Mark found gear a bit finicky.

Two goes, on lead, then top rope. Very cruxy, major issue getting to first decentpod with the negative 9 cm ape factor my right arm has. Not sure it’s worth further time. Nice line though.

Liked the finishing finger crack. Did not like move to arete.

Nice route, found near the start hardest, but probably height related due to steeper feet. The “ crux” was ok.

Great route, 5.10 c in guidebook. Cool mono and lots of good moves

Overhanging Fist crack- maybe if you have men hands, more like overhanging offwidth start. Didn’t even like the traverse around the corner or the crack to the top that much which were straightforward compared to start.

I wasn’t a fan. Hard to get out of sentry box type bit. The whole thing felt dirty and slippery.

Trad Tricky gear!

Trad A journey through time and space with zero chalk, holy moly. This would be 7c+ in Tensleep ha!

Well, now I can say I climbed trad at the New I guess.

Super unlikely and intimidating for the grade! A great climb.

Blue camalot crack in a steep dihedral to a roof section.

Such a great route! Technical finger crack with perfect nut slots the whole way.

Onteresting moves. Makes you think.

Straight up at the third bolt is solid 12a. Going left makes this climb a hard 11.

4 days. About the same for me as Leap of Faith.

Leap' is the better climb of the two.

If this climb is 12b, there are very few moves below that grade. Very good quality cimb.

good climb again short and pumpy. i liked it alot it went on the second go.

Took another go at this one on Monday. Man, those first few moves are rough. Worked out some better beta but had to go before could try for the redpoint. Maybe next time.
