a bit sandy but will clean up nicely. the best climb on middle wall so far! knock off a couple grades and all the stars if you are tall...

couldnt redpoint, pulled the rope,does wonders

can set up a bivy on most of the holds, the 3rd hold on the climb was way spoogey so i did a 'community service' and sat on the rope to brush it then came back down and got it 1st shot

i tried this AGES ago and thought it was quite hard for the grade, that was when i was fresh, and the climb became something i walked past every day i was at the glen for almost a year and thought ' yeh i'll do that one day'. after a 2 week climbing trip, at the end of a full day of hard labouring on tony's poperty, and with a belly full of beer, i cruised it first shot this time and thought it was soft! go figure?!

with a pack! i was a bit disappointed though because i couldnt go through the chimney thing with a pack on so i had to skirt it for a few metres onto the (harder) slab

cool!! a bit pumpy too. i got 1 move up before realising how badly i screwed up the sequence, rather than fix it and punch through I was lazy and jumped. 2nd shot

pretty stupid to solo it really, especially with other dudes there at the time, sorry guys

2nd shot. could have flashed!! but i got intimidated at the crux and didnt punch on...ah well a cool climb anyway

ive got a bit of history with this climb!! it was the first climb i ever tried outdoors (on lead!) and i must have had about 15 shots over the last year and a bit, finally got it today in the summer heat

had 4 shots on monday and got SO CLOSE!but i came back today and got it first shot, my first 22! awesome!

jugs all the way, i had 1 shot at easter '04, got it first shot today

3rd shot today, 1 shot ages ago.

thought it was very hard until realised that i was on unguarded moment and hadnt travesred across when i shouldve-very sketchy! got to above the anchors and had a fun time trying to stick to the slopers on the topout, ended up using the anchor ring as a foothold

took a few trie but i managed the long (at least 10 minutes) coveted second ascent- nice one rod!

seconded ness up the FA. surprisingly hard movesd though the bulge crack, but bomber gear

2nd shot? nice moves- the holds that feel like they should come off dont

fell off a jug first go...got it second shot

3rd shot- a FIVE METRE CLASSIC!!

pumped out on my first try, it had been a long day on the jumars...but 2nd try next day saw me at the anchors!! nice one rod, best 18 in the mountains by far!!

fell off the first move then jumped on for the send- oh well

should have gotten the flash but i went up the wrong side of the bolts and had to come down to start again

i scrambled up with one arm to get a better camera angle of someone on a nearby climb, then rod told me i'd just done 'little bear'!! by far the best grade 8 in the mountains!!

bastard of a first move, easy as pie after that- by far the best 19 in the mountains

very nice- crusiy with a couple iffy moves to make it fun

very funky (albeit easy!) slab, very good one for a first day out

a slabby little thing- i soloed the FA to get some stuff down from the top, went back to put in 2 RB's and double ring loweroffs

a great climb, though it finishes a little too soon. i slid off clipping the third bolt on my first attempt but stuck it second try

easy once you have the balancy crux fingured out - if you dont do it the right way its PUMPY
